This is the by far the friendliest place around. Food great and excellent service. Nothing too much trouble. Cakes and scones are excellent - best in the area! Great place for breakfast, lunch or pizza on a Friday evening. The tearoom is spotlessly clean with a welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Ate her recently, tasty food, excellent service. We'll be back soon. Bought two coal cheeses. So unusual, one is for New Year's Eve first footing, We tried the other tonight. It's weirdly lovely with a slight smokey aftertaste.

This lovely tea room and visitor attraction is just a mile or so from Reghed and Junction 40 of the M6. Opened under new owner 6 weeks ago. Worth a visit. We had breakfast today. Full English £7.50. Various other options bacon sarnie or farmhouse sarnie. Nice coffee. Lunch menu looks good too. We will return.

A friend recommended this spot as a 'coffee & cake stop' whilst out on our bikes. It has recently been taken over apparently and has new owners. We arrived on a chilly wet Sunday and were given a very warm welcome, even used the huge radiators to dry and warm wet gloves. The food was fresh, nicely presented and very... More

Friendly cafe. Good easy parking. Great (Illy) coffee. We'll definitely be back next time in the Lake District.

While recently staying in Stainton near Penrith, we visited Greystone House on three occasions we were really impressed with the friendly service, the great food and facilities. Our three year old Grandson loved the Sheep Shed Children's Farm and playbarn with its swings, climbing frames, chutes, blackboards and animals! Great for families as well as dropping in for a snack,... More

Stopped off last weekend always been a fan, but waitress was not interested the coffee was vile and there were a few shrivelled up pieces of cake left! Also few flies (but expected for time of year and location) there was music blaring loudly and we were supplied with a tiny dribble of milk! The menu is really cut back... More

We stumbled across this place by accident, we had been going to Rheged but the car park was full and there was no parking, we noticed the sign for this place as we came out and thought we'd have a look, how delighted we were that we made the effort, lovely friendly staff, great coffee and the sweet potato chips... A favourite haunt if ours when we come to The Lakes. It has changed hands but I was delighted with the coffee and cakes we had. I had "Leila's Cake" and returned the next day for a second helping. It was quiet when we went but got a warm and friendly welcome both times. Worth finding this cafe, clean, good... More
