Four of us at the chef's table for a brilliant evening. Chris (Chef/Manager) and his motley crew demonstrated how a good team can work together to produce amazing results. Had the 10 course taster menu with wine flite. Food was superb and the wine matched...More

I have wanted to try this restaurant for a while. It was certainly worth the wait. Beautiful old building with a lovely cosy atmospheric interior. Service by a lovely knowledgeable young lady was efficient and just the right speed for a lunch time visit. We...More

Scrumptious and interesting tasting menu. Food is amazing and the staff are lovely. I'm so glad that this place has reopened after the storm Desmond flood damage. It is a gem and well worth a visit.

The refurbishment following the flooding in December 2015 has been hugely successful. Lovely decor and soft furnishings, new lighting, staircase and much more. The kitchen is one of a kind and the food and service better than ever.

A wonderful really historic building, reputably the oldest surviving house in the town. It is run by Kendal College catering students, who obviously are keen to " show off" their skills, so food and service are great. It also has a small area of "museum"...More
