Enjoyed a light lunch at Emma's. The cafe is off the beaten track and not immediately obvious, but once you're there a warm welcome and a varied menu awaits in quaint surroundings. Most enjoyable

Followed sign down alleyway to very quaint little cafe / tearoom. We were too late to try food but our coffee was nice. Staff are friendly and helpful in giving directions

With more staff and nicer crockery this could be so much better than it is. Took too long to have order taken, despite being quite. When food eventually came it was so disappointingly presented my heart sank.cheap white plates like a cheap cafe.tasted bland. Owner should take a look at how other tea rooms present food. Waitress deserves a medal.£ I... More

Even though the place wasn't,t particularly full it still took over half an hour to receive our food. Poor waitress was ran off her feet. More staff definitely needed Milkshakes are nice as is the tea but although my savoury scone with Stilton tasted fine more time on the presentation would improve the experience.

Discovered this whilst spending a wet afternoon in Kendal and were pleased we did. Only had coffee but it was served in a huge cafetiere and for decaf was pretty good and very strong. Cakes looked very tempting but we resisted! The woman working there was very friendly and helpful. Just wish the weather had been good enough to sit... More

Our sandwiches were both very tasty. The experiance was great as the service was welcoming and friendly. Definitley will be coming again!

Lovely bite of lunch. Stopped in Kendal while on a motorbike day out. Was very warm weather and we needed to get some refreshment before setting off on the next leg of our trip. We stopped at this café for no other reason than it was the first one we saw when walking from the car park. The cafe is... More
