Great service, cake and hot drinks for some weary travellers having trekked from Ambleside to Grassmere with two young and energetic dogs! Rustic theme with comfy chairs for a relaxing coffee and chat. Fair price in the area.

Brew, the cafe adjoined to Heidi's lodge, offered us tasty Sandwiches as an apology for disruption caused by a fault with the boiler. I recommend the chicken and Pesto bloomer Bread sandwich.

Stopped by the cafe to escape the rain. Large range of cakes available. I had the angel cake and it was delicious. Dog friendly. Lots of gluten free options.

Sadly this was a big disappointment. Not too clean. Food very mediocre and not pleasant. The coffee was very poor also. Sadly the staff must have been having a bad day!
