Last minute booking, staff friendly and helpful, even gave me there kitchen fan for our room on a very hot day, bfast delicious, room was nice with little extras, a cookie each and a chocolate, also fresh milk in the little fridge for our hot...drinks and bottle water, lovely little extras. We will definalty return soon 😁👌More

Stopped for lunch with family, food was amazing and staff really friendly highly recommend. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the family room for one night whilst visiting an attraction in Windermere. The room was clean and well furnished with everything we needed. Lovely to find little chocolates on our pillows on arrival. The room is nicely decorated and the bathroom is...clean with a fab mirror and heated towel rail. Would have loved the shower to have been a little more powerful. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Lots of choice of cooked and cold breakfast options. Service was quick and again so friendly. Staff were all really good with our little boy which takes a lot of pressure off when travelling. The b&b is centrally located in a lovely village with lots of facilities and beautiful scenery. Easy access to lots of walks. We'd certainly stay there again when we next visit Cumbria. Thank you for a lovely stay.More

Other establishments have opened but you stayed closed, which is disappointing. Also the chemical toilet is awful. Food was okay, all in tale away containers. The younger staff seem friendly but the older gentleman serving us was very miserable and not friendly. Maybe open up,...reduce covers and welcome your customers a bit more.More

Despite having to do takeaways only, the high standards of this outstanding café haven't slipped. We called in here several times when we were staying in Coniston last week and had the most delicious food ever - almost as good an experience as the 'eating...in' option when things were more 'normal' than they are now. There's a pretty extensive menu to say that everything has to be put in a takeaway box but all the things we had worked really well. Some of the outside tables have been removed to allow the accommodation of a socially distanced queueing area and we didn't feel crowded or threatened whilst we were there, but pretty comfortable and happy that the staff and owners were doing all they could to make us customers feel safe and welcome. All the food is home-cooked and beautifully so - just plain honest-to-goodness traditional English food. Try the Steak Pudding with chips and mushy peas or the Meat and Potato Pie - both of which were out of this world, despite being served in a takeaway box with plastic cutlery! I do miss the home-produced ham with egg and chips but you can't have everything and there are plenty more things to choose from, not to mention gorgeous cakes, pies and tray bakes. Don't be afraid to try this café. It's safe as can be, the staff are friendly, the food is great and if it's raining, you may be lucky enough to get the bench under the porch. Can't wait for it to open properly again but meanwhile, the takeaway is almost as good and the staff are trying so very hard to make the experience as normal as possible.More

We've been visiting The Lake District for many years and this café has become a "must visit". It's warm, welcoming and always very clean. The pea and ham soup is the best ever! Local people also use the café and that's always a good sign....The menu is extensive and everything we've had there has been excellent. Love it!More
