My local chippy , great everytime . Good value for money . Even took pictures of our food because we were so happy !! 😄😄😄 I look at some of the comments on here and I question "what?!!!" This is by far the best fish and chip shop in Ambleside and I have never had a negative experience ever !!... More

The mark of a decent chippie is the fish. We ordered fish when we entered as there were none already cooked, despite being early on a Saturday evening. The fish was cooked fresh, but was left in the fryer for 10 minutes resulting in a very dried out, even chewy fish. Avoid if you want fish. It was disgusting

Chips were under cooked and soggy. Batter on my sausage was fatty. Staff had never heard of a saveloy! and was not good value for money.

We ordered 2 small fish and chips to take away, as for the inside the decoration and seating is nice, but the food is expensive for fish ans chips, and nothing special, fish was tasteless and chips where soft and not your traditional fish and chip 'chips'

Popped in here after been let down by the Pizza place. I ordered the sausage and chips, my wife had fish and chips, my meal not excellent but decent enough, my wife's fish was not nice, the fish was stuck to the batter and was very thin and carried an odd smell. Overall not good value and food but the... More

Walked past the other fish and chip shop in Ambleside (which smelt nice) to come to this one as had a better seating area. When we first went in it didn't smell like food which I find worrying in a fish and chip shop. We ordered and paid (massively overpriced) and went to sit down at a table that had... More

Just really a run of the mill sit down Fish and Chip shop.Nothing more to say. Needs updated and a few cooling fans would help as you are sitting up and as we know warm air rises !!

Staying in far sawrey last night and looking for a takeaway. Couldn't find any thing local so decided to go to the closest chippy. It was a 20 minute drive so food wasn't that hot when we got back. It was how ever quite tasty. I had the large haddock and chips. I wanted a large cod and chips but... More
