If there’s one name which is associated with the dramatic and beautiful Lake District it’s Wordsworth. And here in the Grasmere hotel named for the famous poet himself you’ll find The Prelude, namechecking one of his most well known poems. Looking out across manicured lawns and, naturally, daffodil strewn beds the bright, spacious dining room is styled classically in such a way to make every member of your party feel relaxed and comfortable. As you may well expect from a two AA rosette restaurant dishes are fresh, flavoursome and expertly prepared using seasonal and local produce. And presentation is so beautiful it almost seems a shame to tuck in.
