We always love to come to Chesters when we visit the Lakes and it never disappoints. They have a wood fired pizza oven which produces some of the best pizzas we've ever had. The salads are amazing too. We came intending to just have coffee...More

Not been for two years so popped in for lunch. Immediately noted from the menu that it had gone vegetarian, initially not good for a commited carnivore. Our food was excellent, full of interesting flavours. My wife's sweet potato samosa was in fact vegan, but...More

Always a fabulous place to go for brunch. Beautiful setting, lovely fresh and flavoursome food. Great addition with the takeaway bakery, and the shop to have a mooch! One of our favourite places to go.

Whenever we're in the are we always stop for lunch or coffee and cakes at Chesters. The location is delightful (even if parking is usually a trial) and the shop is intriguing. The catering, though, is outstanding. Homemade cakes, buns and desserts are to die...More

Delicious, reasonably priced salads, huge servings of chocolate cake. Unisex toilets mean you get a look of disgust from an old woman everytime you leave a stall.

Two of us visited - this is one of our favourite places and it never disappoints. Despite teeming rain, people were queuing outside in the hope of getting a table. Fantastic food with brilliant views. A great shop attached to the place. Parking can be...More

We began our long walk in the Langdales with breakfast, I can recommend the pancakes and fruit compote as the best breakfast I've ever had at Chesters - and I've had quite a few! Takeaway and shop looking great too.

It is true that on busy days parking is an issue. But, honestly you don't need to put your car on their premises. There's quite a lot of room on the Langdale Road alongside.
