My son took me to Nibble today for breakfast and it was absolutely amazing 🤩. We walked in and were asked for our name and then asked to take a seat until a table becomes free. (Due to it been mid week, we did not have long to wait, if planning on going I would highly recommend booking a table so your not disappointed) We waited about 5 minutes and was taken through to our table, walking through it was great to see an open kitchen and the seating area were both very clean and tidy. This place has loads of staff, plenty of kitchen staff and waiting staff who were all very helpful and friendly. After being seated we were given a nice bottle of chilled water and glasses as we looked at the menu. My son and I both ordered a Cappuccino and Full English Breakfast, the Cappuccino was perfect… The breakfast was top quality food, cooked perfectly to our liking. Nibbles also offers a full day time menu across the week, however if you fancy just a tea or coffee with a cake you will not be disappointed either again the range of cakes looked beautiful. This place is seated to the side of the marina, so plenty of parking around with a very small walk. If you’re in Hull and fancy something a little special or different this place is perfect, trust me you will not be disappointed so give it ago…

My partner and I came here for breakfast while visiting Hull. My partner (who is very hard to impress) has not stopped stalking about visiting Hull again just for this breakfast, which says a lot about the food, as we’re all the way from Essex! The food was amazing, and the customer service even better. I ordered Rob’s Eggs with gluten-free bread. As a Coeliac, I find it challenging to find good gluten-free food that doesn’t taste like cardboard, but Nibbles definitely provided. 10/10 food, we would definitely come again.

EXCELLENT in every way! This little gem is well hidden BUT well worth the effort to find. Relaxed surroundings, very efficent, polite and friendly staff. We had a brunch full english with hot and cold drinks and everything was well made, presented, fresh and tasty. They have a great selection of home made cakes as well and the breakfast in particular is good value for money. Cakes quite expensive though at around £4-5 a slice but probably enough calories in one slice to keep you going all day. Highly recommended and will be returning.

Been a few times before, all ways been great. Have nagged the daughter to go for months to try it visited today (2hr journey there) very disappointing. Daughter had cajun chicken and jalapeño jam toasties with fries.. Toastie very dry, not much jam and the fries had that much chip spice on they were inedible. I had the dockside burger, hash brown s as tasty as all ways just not very hot the rest of the burger was average. No better than a McDonald's breakfast muffin at more than twice the cost. Lovely cappuccino just a shame it came 20 mins before the food so had nothing left to wash the salty taste of the hash browns away.. Hoping this was just a one off bad visit but at £28 for breakfast for 2. I'm afraid I probably wont be trying nibble again in a hurry. Real shame as previous visits have been stunning

As we’d decided to have a walk around the pier we came across this restaurant and having previously heard good reports decided to give it a try. Upon entering place was bright and airy and a good vibe about the place and were fortunate to be seated to a table by a pleasant member of staff. Having been given time to peruse menu we decided upon a full English breakfast and a cheese toastie I’ve got to say the quality of ingredients upon the plates were first class in fact my wife struggled to complete her meal which had come with accompanying chips. Throughout the staff were attentive and eager to please and I’ve got to say this establishment is a little gem within the fruit market quarter and it’s a must visit if your hungry and require quality food at a competitive price I’ll definitely be returning

Very friendly welcoming service. Restaurant was very busy on the Friday afternoon however my kind host went out of her way to find me a table.
I ordered the handcrafted sandwich menu; gluten-free roll, rosemary roast chicken, bacon and vegan cheese. The sandwich was well filled, all food cooked to perfection. I was really pleased they had food for my dietary requirements; gluten-free and lactose-free.
As i had enjoyed my sandwich I then ordered the bakewell slice which was delicious.
If you are gluten-free or lactose-free this is the place to go in Hull.
It was a really nice cafe, the cakes are to die for! This was my first visit and will definitely go there again.

Visited with my Partner on a Friday morning approximately 9.30 & had a short wait for a table.
Once seated. The staff took our orders & brought us drinks not long after.
We both really enjoyed our food. ( my only problem was my friend egg was not hard as a liked & asked for, however was manageable to not send back or mention)
The food is always fresh & served with a smile.
I have been plenty of times since my last review 2021 & the food & service is always top notch.
Thanks for great food & service !!

We decided to visit Nibble after seeing it on Rate My Takeaway and we're so glad we did! It's a lovely little cafe and the food was delicious.
We went on a Saturday at about 11am and it was pretty busy, with an approx. 40 min wait for a table for two. We didn't mind as we just wandered over to a nearby cafe and had a coffee while we waited, and the lady rang to tell us our table was ready after about 25 mins anyway.
We had a Ciabatta sandwich, a breakfast burger, a side of Hash browns, two cakes and two Earl greys for about £30 and it was all fantastic. The hash browns were a particular highlight, they were super crunchy on the outside with some kind of red salt type flavouring and lovely and soft in the middle.
All the staff were very nice and attentive too, I wouldn't hesitate to visit again!

Nibble is a smart, modern style cafe in the Fruit Market. There is an extensive menu to cater for dining at all times of the day. We were in for breakfast and it was refreshing to see an innovative selection of dishes to choose, from the simple bacon sandwich to breakfast burrito via a meze breakfast platter.
My daughter had the latter while my wife and I couldn’t resist sampling the Full English. All were top class and substantial, and throughout the menu I consider the prices to be most reasonable.
As well as being very efficient the service was welcoming and very friendly, which contributed to the overall relaxed and warm ambience.
This is a top class restaurant and we will certainly visit again.

I’m gluten intolerant and they couldn’t have been any better.
I was able to get a gluten free alternative to what I wanted on the menu (which was toast substituted with a gluten free bun - one of the best I’ve ever had).
They also had an amazing selection of cakes - with at least 3 gluten free options (also dairy free available). There was macaroons, peanut butter brownie (10/10 from me) and even a kinder meringue nest made with what looked like a sharr melto.
We even went back for breakfast the next day as it was so nice.
In the pictures the sausage roll and the egg, beans, bacon and toasted bun and hash browns were all GF.
Staff were so friendly and food was 10/10.
It was quite busy and you’re unable to book but there is lots of outdoor seating and I would happily wait for a table inside.

Although i thought the food was excellent our table was infested with flies. We mentioned this to the waiter and asked him to clear the table. He was uninterested and continued to serve other tables removing our food slowly. I mentioned the problem when paying the bill but received no response or appolgy. While paying you could see a lot of flies on the food on the counter.

I really wanted to like this place but it was a huge disappointment. It pains me to give a bad review but I feel I should be honest.
Firstly, there’s no parking so we had a long walk to it, made much longer due to it being really hard to find. We spent a good 15 minutes walking round trying to find it.
We arrived an hour before the advertised end of food service, but we were made to feel rushed and unwelcome by the many staff (seemed more staff than customers) who were hovering and watching over us.
The food was a big disappointment. Considering the really expensive price, I expected better than the cheap sausage patties rather than the quality burgers you’d expect for the price. My sausage patty was also burnt. They were small, greasy and tasteless. On a positive note, the fries and drinks were nice. The design on the mocha looked lovely.
The many many staff members looking over at us every minute or two was just really off putting. I understand that they were probably keen to get home, but if you advertise that you’re serving food until 3pm, customers who arrive at 2pm should be able to eat their food in peace without staff hovering over, watching every mouthful for you to finish so they can take the plates. One staff member even approached the table to clear the plates while my friend was still eating. That should not happen at all.
We got a breakfast burger, Stacker burger, 1 fries, 1 tea and 1 mocha. I also bought a cupcake and a crumbly Jammy slice to take out. I was charged £32. Looking at the menu prices, our burgers, fries and 2 drinks came to £24. That means I was charged £8 for the cupcake and slice. Crazy!
Im afraid we won’t be back.

I’ll always take feedback or complaints on board - but I think I need to explain a few things.
Parking - not our fault or any shop or eatery - most city centre places don’t have private car parks - we are however directly next to a multi story car park!
Finding us - we love that we are tucked away under a mound of grass, it’s part of the quirk of Nibble - plus that’s just they way it was built and over the years other buildings have gone up around us - a quick phone call and we could have directed you.
The crap burgers your referring too - are not beef burgers - they are hand pressed pork patties - as advertise 4oz - nice and thin so we can crisp up - not burn - we wouldn’t serve Burnt food. We use meat from the local butcher and our chefs hand press them.
I think you are the only person to not like the dockside stacker or the breakfast burger.
The many staff members are needed to look after all our guests - they are welcoming, attentive and work bloody hard. If they were looking over - it’s because they would want to check all is fine and incase you needed anything. We have never rushed anyone - if anything we leave guests to finish whilst we clean down. I can say this as I often say please keep checking on guests despite cleaning down.
I’ve checked with the team and they said no one has asked for a manager regarding burnt / bad food or bad service - if you were so unhappy why did you not bring this up when you paid? We always ask how was your food and was everything ok?
Our cakes are baked in house - slice £4.50 / other cakes £3.50 - so your bill was correct.
I’m replying firmly as your review is just picking apart at something that we all work so hard for and care about - the staff are friendly and care about what they do - if you are ever unhappy in the future at any venue - tell them there and then - you might get a better response

This cafe is a very lovely cafe and is very fresh. For a very fair price. Two sandwiches drinks and a side of hash browns came to around £20. The staff could tell we haven’t been before and directed us towards a menu which we were trying to view online. So I would like to say thank you 😂😂. Next the food was very lovely and you can’t go wrong with it. It’s dog friendly and a great place to grab a bite to eat. There is outdoor and indoor seating.

Spent three nights in Hull and went to Nibbles each morning for breakfast. The quality of the food is very good with a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan options as well as meat based dishes. Plenty of staff who were all very pleasant and efficient. We didn't try the cakes but they looked very tempting.

We went for breakfast on both mornings that we stayed in Hull. On both mornings, we joined a queue patiently waiting outside while it opened.
The food is interesting twists and combinations of standard breakfast fare. Portions are very generous. All the staff were so cheerful and friendly. There were no problems with swapping items when requested and they were well on top of it regarding allergens.
It will definitely be our go to breakfast place when we next go to Hull and I have no hesitation in recommending it to other visitors to the area. Just get there early!
