Paid £40 for 3 burgers and 3 portions of chips.
Daughter wanted some ketchup for her chips and got charged another £1 I mean with a £40 meal I expect a couple of pouches of ketchup thrown in.
Burgers where nice though.
Chips where chips nowt special
Chicken burger was nothing special, half got left.

We were really looking forward to our first Dope burger. Seen it on the TV and heard rave reviews. We are a family of five but even so were very shocked at it costing just shy of £90 for 4 burgers, some fried chicken and chips and 5 cans of fizz! But we thought it would be the best burgers ever so maybe worth it? Sadly they are just average, nothing special at all. Yes, well cooked and tasty, staff were friendly and efficient BUT this was not what a £90 takeaway should taste like. Definitely do not understand what all the hype is about and we will be sticking to our local takeaway from now on which does burger just as good for half the price. Don't get me wrong, this place gives a good takeaway BUT it's far far far too expensive.

We had heard the hype so wanted to give it a go. Yes, it is expensive - burger and chips twice for around £20. BUT, the burger pattie is very tasty and locally sourced. The topping i went for was blue cheese and it all tasted freshly done. It wasn't greasy at all, again, a testament to the quality of the beef. The fries reminded me of Yankee Burger fries and all very crispy and fresh.
It's location on the corner of Witham is hardly ideal but inside there are chairs and tables/benches if you want to eat in. Staff pleasant.

Ordered via Uber Eats (originally from Witham restaurant but they told me it was diverted to Beverley Road). I ordered 3 burgers and paid to double one up, signature skin on fries and cheese fries.
The order took over an hour and a half to arrive, which I can get past due to what is currently happening (COVID-19). When it arrived, we left two of the burgers as they were raw and practically still moo’ing. One was cooked okay but did not come as a double pattie which I paid £3 extra for. The “signature skin on fries” were literally normal french fries like you get in any takeaway and the cheese fries had the tiniest slither of cheese over the top.
I called Witham and they told me the Beverley Road store had processed the order due to my location, and if I wanted a refund or future discount I needed to contact the Dope Burger Facebook page to speak to the owner. It’s now been 3 days since I did this and though I can see they have read my message they have chosen not to apologise or even respond to my complaint!

Great food but disgusting customer service - the child on the phone and the manager are useless.
We spent £70 and even when they messed up a burger and forgot to make another they refused to accept that it was their fault despite ordering everything online. They reluctantly fixed this but we are disappointed with the service.
And don’t use their app it’s awful.

I have been subscribed to Dopes Facebook page for a long time and like every one else admired the perfect pictures of big juicy burgers, we watched the you tube blog this week at Dope and saw them bend over backwards to give him those infamous burgers, big sides of chips etc, they really roll out the red carpet for a you tube blogger but the experience for someone not endorsing their product online is drastically different.
We arrived to a jumble of tables and chairs inside but thete was places we could sit to eat - it was cold and wet outside. We were told we could not sit at the tables due to a non visible refurb they are allegedly having. These people love selling themselves online but don't cater to anyone from out of town, if you don't have a home nearby they will force you out into the rain to eat your burger.
The guy behind the counter made excuses that customers can sit inside in a few days - no good to us, we've just driven from Scunthorpe on our Saturday to try your stuff!
We ordered two smoked dope, he asked me asides but as I said to him we cadnt order any as we had to stand on a street on eat on the rain. He just laughed his loss of trade rather than let us sit at the table.
Disappointed doesn't cover it, we couldn't enjoy any sides we planned to have, we ate our burger in a cold wet doorway. The burger was lovely and juicy however it was far, far, far smaller than the pictures would have you believe and not worth the extortionate £7.50! We left hungry instead of having the fantastic meal we thought we were driving to Hull for.
Oh and don't try to use the customer toilet, they moan about that and say they don't 5 know if it's connected up!! Well it flushed, the taps worked?? No sign was on the toilet door.
Avoid this place, attitude to paying customers is dire, certainly don't waste minute of your time travelling from anywhere - you'd be better off having a nice meal in the pubs in Old Town where you'd not be made to feel like an unwanted irritant.

Finally tried after hearing so many people recommending them. I had high hopes. The place isn’t cheap so was expecting my money’s worth. What came was a mess, the burger was squished, hardly any filling, with a homemade burger that was ruined by what seemed like 2 bottles full of different sauces. Not impressed!

You know, i used to be a fan of Dope Burger, it was something out of the ordinary in a crowded market, but i think it has gone to their head in a big way. Ordered two burgers, two frozen custard shakes and some chilli fries, £40, which is very steep for the type of food. Drinks were boring, just tasted of the flavouring syrup, the custard selling point completely lost. Fries were extremely salty and the burgers nothing to write home about. In fact my cousin and myself had a half pound burger with drink from the van at b and q today, for a quarter of the price, and enjoyed it a lot more. Wont be going again.

Ordered a meal for my family and myself. Order was delivered with incorrect meal and a large 12" hair in one burger. We've tried contacting Dope Burger in Witham and they've basically said if we say that there was a hair in the burger they'll say you put it in there. Why would we do that? The order was also incorrect as we ordered one burger doubled-up but came with a single burger. The gentle we spoke to said we ordered incorrectly.

Ordered through their website was told 60 mins delivery time , called back 1 1/2 hr later to enquire where food was, got a very bad phone reception, had to explain 5 times to make sure they got my order, was told that my order hadn't been received due to problem with the website, was passed to another employee who asked the same questions had to relay my order again back & forth to make sure they had my order correct, they wouldn't give an updated time for deliver except within the hour. food came 20 mins later the fries were refried ,old & cold.
An extra comment I made on their website when originally ordered through their website was to "knock loud on the front door as up stairs" this advice not relayed via the phone but was displayed on the receipt that came with the cold food. Overpriced with poor service,

Food took an hour and a half to arrive. It was cold. We got half a portion of chips each. The drink was missing. I rang the shop, and rather than offer an apology or a way to make up for it or even to bring the drink I’d already paid for, they said the driver would bring the money back and take the food away. When I asked what they were going to do with the food they said they would put it in the bin ‘because it was cold’. Girl on the phone clearly didn’t give a sh*t.
Train your staff or get new staff that know how to actually talk to people.
I first started going to dope burger when it opened and have been going ever since, however it gets worse every time.
I won’t be having one ever again. Utter disgrace. The customer service has been pretty bad before but at least the food was alright. Even the food is sh*t now. Nearly 30 quid for 2 cold burgers and few cold damp fries.

Fancied a burger and as I had passed and seen the award for 2022 all over the windows thought it was an ideal time to pay it a visit,wish I had not.
Prices are very high but I thought well you get what you pay for but this was extortionate for the quality.
Opted for the smoked dope burger and fries with bacon and cheese,the burger was undercooked and pink in the middle,lettuce was virtually non existent,burger was smaller than expected but the worst to come was a very long dark hair pulled from the middle after eating half of it.
The fries were no better with very little cheese that had gone hard and looked like it had been plonked on top of the fries and left for a while as they were not even warm.
Sorry Dope you have to maintain standards after winning awards,will definitely not be returning,had better from kebab shop at half the price.

Dope burger used to be something Hull could be proud of, however, they now seem to be a victim of their own growth and no longer offer gourmet food, high quality service or even just good fast food.
A few weeks ago I ordered 2 burgers and 2 chips, and was told it would be a 25 minute wait. This turned into a 45-50 min wait where I also witnessed other customer order mistakes, and customers in an almost empty restaurant having to wait 5 minutes just to have their order taken. After complaining to the staff that a 45 minute wait was unacceptable for my order, they claimed that 20 minutes over the claimed timeframe was acceptable and handed me a bag containing my cold food. Without discount, these two cold burgers and chips that took over 45 minute would have cost £27, hardly an award winning or high quality service.
I have reached out to Dope Burger through two separate email addresses to raise these issues, both of which were ignored.

Food was ordered through Ubereats. The delivery took over an hour and the food was cold, inedible and it was hard to distinguish which was the burger and which was the chicken burger when it arrived. The beef burger was also pink in the middle. The bread buns were soggy as it had taken so long to deliver. Rang and complained. Asked for refund but told to go back through Uber. Uber are saying that Dope Burger should refund. Contacted both again today and still no further. What should have been a nice treat ended up in the bin and us out of pocket. Avoid at all costs!!

Saw it on the telly, didn't realise it was a re-run from 22.
It was absolutely freezing inside, thank god we got a Booth otherwise we would have been sat next to the bog!
Tastie burger, not like promotional photos, needed a good clean to be honest.
Called at the Beverly Road site drove on as not that impressed, to the Witham site food was tasty not worthy of the price.
