A dependable place for a roast lunch, but you have to decide whether large is too much, or like me opt for cottage pie which is one size. Dishes cooked in about 15 minutes, with one waitress, who made most conversation with a Polish customer. Cutlery is clean, and drinks can be combined, so lemon and lime is mainly a... More

We've heard quite a lot of people say that they enjoy visiting Chaplins for both breakfasts and other meals. Unfortunately I wish we could say the same! Perhaps we visited on an off day but neither the service or food was to a good standard. The ingredients were cheap - which is fine as the prices are cheap so we... More

This restaurant served an excellent and well priced meal.It was served hot and was adequate for us who have a modest appetite. We were very pleased with its presentation and it tasted lovely. It compared favourably with our usual Toby carvery.Well worth a try if you`re in Dover.

This is a fairly overpriced restaurant that serves breakfast as well as lunch and dinners. There are better places to eat that are also more scenic than this. Breakfast is always a better option if you are going to eat here. When we have been in for lunch it has been disappointing and dinners that are available have been precooked... More

This was my first full English ever, so i can't really compare it, but it was good! I had the vegetarian breakfast, which was only available as a large. Kept me full for the rest of the day. Really. My husband, who's had a full English before thought it was really good too. Not too greasy & made to order..... More

We had Sunday roast lunch. I had turkey, and as I was hungry chose to have the large portion. Smallest “large” portion I have had, 4 vegetables all presumably added to the plate with a teaspoon, a few roast potatoe pieces and a very small Yorkshire pudding. Everything was lukewarm. Followed by crumble and custard to fill me up, this... More

Being tourists we went in early morning for a quick drink and possible breakfast. I made the cardinal sin of going to touch the drink fridge. Wow - beware the fridge! As I was about to touch the handle the waitress came from the kitchen and went between the fridge and me. I was then sternly advised that we weren't... More

Had a lovely breakfast here and being a fussy eater, they made it as I requested and checked that it was to my liking. Good value I thought and pleasant staff. Happily return.

Lovely little café. real friendly vibe with traditional homemade food to offer. We had breakfast sitting outside in the sun watching the world pass by.
