The wife and I wanted a quick meal before watching The Full Monty at Marlowe Theatre. Arriving on the High Street at six we hadn’t thought anywhere would be busy on a Monday night; we were wrong, it was heaving and Ask Italian squeezed us in at the back of its very busy restaurant. We shared a Bruschetta starter that... More

This is a rally nice cosy restaurant in the middle of Canterbury. It looks like, and might well have been a big old house so the restaurant is divided up into small rooms with 5 or so tables in each. The service was great the staff were really polite and cheerful and the food was very nice. I wanted to... More

Went here for my son's 18th birthday as he is not exactly a foodie. We were put into a side room on our own that lacked any sort of atmosphere. We may as well have stayed at home and ordered a Dominos. The food was ok and the staff friendly and attentive, it just felt isolated and dull. Not a... More

We stopped by on a Sunday evening for dinner. We were seen straight away and taken to a table in the front area. Service was excellent and prompt. The only downside was that it kind of felt like we were in a school canteen, there was no atmosphere, the table was small and the chairs were not so comfortable. The... More

Firstly, the service of the young ladies here is the best part of the restaurant! They were extremely busy which we thought was a good sign, however the food lacked any excitement for me. My partner enjoyed his more but I think he was being polite as we were starving! I had bruschetta and what is known to be an... More

This place is ready for a makeover , nice layout and usage of this lovely building. Unfortunately we where seated in a room with 3 families with noisy young excitable children, no complaints bad timing on our part Saturday afternoon its to be expected. Food good as always, service great.

I have not been back to Ask for a few years since a poor experience in the Faversham branch a few years ago. Lots of places to eat in Canterbury but got Tesco vouchers and decided to give that branch a chance as it was always ok in the past. We were eating prior to a theatre visit. The food... More

I just had a really amazing dinner here. Me and fiancee came on a short trip to visit Canterbury and were reccomended this restaurant by some friends that live in the area. The food was great especially the home made pasta, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere just perfect. Trully reccomended.

We realize Ask is a franchise and have experienced many excellent meals in other Ask restaurants . We came from overseas for our special family anniversary meal at Ask in Canterbury which really was not at all impressive. We were put in a back room which was cold and empty. Eventually two couples arrived but there was no atmosphere. The... More
