I had a cheese burger. It was literally cheese and (dry) burger, in cheap roll. No lettuce, tomato or onions, etc, and a measly portion of chips. Partner had fish and chips, again, bland and hardly any chips! Inexplicably, both meals came with a surprise,...More

Visited here beginning of June of checking out other reviews on Tripadvisor and I can 100% say we were not disappointed. It's located down a side alley off the high street which could be slightly off putting but once there it's time to enjoy !....More

An excellent selection of real ales and ciders, all rewed on the premises. Meals looked appealing although we did not sample on this occasion. Friendly and helpful service. Spacious bar and seating outside as well.

Always good beer and knowledgeable staff making recommendations. Food is excellent, plentiful and delicious. Friendly staff so even when it's quiet it's still a pleasant spot for a drink or meal. Well worth seeking out.

Visited here on a Saturday evening for something to eat. The staff were brilliant, very attentive and got served immediately. However the food was very disappointing. Ordered some BBQ chicken wings which were so spicy that they had to be sent back. Even the waitress...More

There were six of us. All meals were delightful, with the exception of the onion rings that could use a bit more seasoning. I had six 1/3 pints, including the tap and cask versions of the Foundry IPA. All were delightful in their own way....More

An interesting pub and restaurant. Staff v friendly and Foundry beers are very good. Food was disappointing. Limp salad, dried out chicken and sauces out of a bottle. Onions rings were good, though. Lower end of pub food scale.

Sought out the Foundry upon a local man's recommendation and was delighted with the food selection which were of a portion size suited to larger appetites, but more specifically the option to have 5 third pint tasters of their excellent range of beers. Perfect volume...More

No -we weren't aware of the ale tasting. A booking seemed to be helpful at the weekend. We did it and all tables were occupied.

Definitely dog friendly - although we did sit outside. The dog got his own bowl of water and a treat from one of the staff.
