Unbeknown to us, we were in Canterbury during graduation. We appeared at Deeson's on our first night without a reservation. They were able to fit us in, and despite a crowd, the service was excellent, and we never felt pressured to finish because they "needed the table." In looking at their current menu, we shared two "tapas" which they no... More

I went to Deeson's for a birthday lunch celebrating my 40th and my Mums 70th last weekend. We had 26 guests, all with pre-orders on the Christmas set menu. The service we received from all the staff at the restaurant was fantastic. They were very friendly and welcoming, which was a reflection of the great communication I had with them... More

in our experience, Canterbury has more then its fair share of 'chain' restaurants, which are great, but it always feels like there should be more independents given the beautiful location. Whilst shopping today, my wife and I stumbled across this delightful restaurant that was just that - and thrilled that we did too! Wonderfully warm welcome from the gentleman at... More

After reading very good reviews of this restaurant, my husband and I chose to book here for our honeymoon. We weren't at all disappointed. The food was amazing. We eat out a lot and also ate at a Michelin Starred restaurant whilst in the area, and Deesons, in our opinion, ranked much higher. I had sirloin with braised shin and... More

Had a lovely lunch today with a group of 6 friends. The food was excellent, staff friendly efficient and attentive. Would definitely go again. I would recommend booking in advance as it did get busy. The food is locally sourced and we had a lovely sparkling Kent wine. The restaurant was able to produce a menu at very short notice... More

Stopped off here by chance for a late lunch following a "Black Friday" shopping trip to Canterbury, and we are very glad we did. The place was extremely welcoming, the menu enticing. I had the trio of sausages, sourced from a local butcher. These were excellent as was the rich onion gravy that went with it. Of special note was... More

Excellent modern British food , served in comfortable and nice environment. Friendly service and reasonable pricing. Last but not least the food are amazing. Will be back when we are back... More

Having eaten Lunch at Deesons before and thoroughly enjoying the food and service it was time to go back for dinner with friends and it did not disappoint. From the outset the service was excellent, very friendly and perfectly timed without being overbearing. Waitress was knowledgeable and very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional, starters... More
