That was my 4th visit at Deeson`s Restaurant and I definitely was not disappointed. The food was very good and the waitress was helpful to find the appropriate wine. I am going to come back here in March.

Recommended by the hotel we were staying in, we found a warm and friendly welcome at Deesons. A limited menu offering local quality dishes including lamb, duck and pig's cheek. Food was delicious and a pleasant ambience. Not overly busy as a cold January evening. We had scallops and trout mousse for starters followed by the lamb. Everything was beautifully... More

When visiting family recently in the Canterbury area, Deesons was suggested for dinner, and it did not disappoint. The menu was different, inventive and a real treat for the palette. As a family, we eat out a lot more than we used to when I was a child, so average food, poor service and dull menus are unfortunately too common.... More

The word "homegrown" is usually a misnomer in restaurant descriptions, but not so in Deeson's. The menu is original and a delight. Even the bread is unusual, crunchy and delicious. The next door table seemed to be occupied by a local bishop seeking his version of heaven on earth. Very suitable for Canterbury. Give Deeson's a try. You won't be... More

I used to love Deeson's and remember when it first opened. Recently I have found that food can be inconsistent. Been there with family and friends as well as on business. Generally the meals as part of business meetings haven't been that impressive, I am afraid to say. The service though has always been excellent. Overall I would still visit... More

The presentation of each dish from starters to dessert was worthy of a picture to be shared! The pork belly had a flavor with mix of veg that was out of this world. Each of us in rustic country tables were served with maximum excellence and grace. Overall a special place for a special dinner. Not my first visit and... More

Food was excellent and staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Offered you tap water rather than just putting a bottled water straight onto the table. The owner it seems is a rather good artist with the paint and you can see her paintings around the restaurant which you are able to buy if you wish.... More

It gets difficult as you age finding things for relatives birthdays etc, so, this year we gave my brother-in-law vouchers for Deeson's. We like the food there, it's exciting and different. What a surprise we got when they invited us to join them on their night out! I was very excited, I admit I'm a complete foodie and I love... More

I like it, my wife less so. Lacks a little character but good quality makes up for that. A decent meal, no fuss. Would go again.

We've been to this restaurant several times. It's quite pricey so we generally go for special occasions like our wedding anniversary or birthdays but it is a wonderful treat. My husband really likes the pan fried pigeon starter and I love the twice baked cheese soufflé. The white chocolate mousse is amazing too. It has a lovely calm atmosphere and... More
