Deesons is one of several 'British restaurants' in Canterbury. But if Deesons stands for what our nation can achieve, then it is little wonder that Brexit is a national embarrassment. We booked ahead for our first night in town because of its high reputation on...More

Well , for a start , it doesn't look anything like the picture ! Having read some of the reviews I thought it would be a high end restaurant with white linen cloths etc , so was slightly disappointed when it was more bare wood...More

A great restaurant close to Canterbury cathedral. Friendly service and very helpful staff. Good English food. Not gourmet but we'll prepared and ptesented. The Yorkshire pudding was a meal in itself. A popular venue so booking is advised.

I could wax lyrical about how amazing the food is here but I won't. Just book and try it yourself. It's astounding. Genuinely my favourite restaurant in the land. Plus the staff are fabulous and there's always veggie options. Just the best. I love it.

Enjoyed dinner here with a good menu, good food and good service. The only problem was the heat - it was SO hot, the heat needed to be turned down! For this reason I wouldn't go again.

I do not usually write my reviews in the swivel-eye “terrible” section, certainly not in my own area: I went to this place as I know it to be decent and above the average in this heavily tourist/student city. Sorry but I cannot tell you...More
