Great choice of food - we had the platters which were very generous. I was able to swap one of the dishes as it was something I don’t eat and it was no problem. Lovely outdoor area which gives it a Mediterranean feel.

Messaged prior to arrival to check they did Sangria, they replied that although it wasn't on the menu they would happily make it. Shame no one checked the ingredients first! We were given a muggy coloured jug of soda water with red wine and a...More

My wife and I thought that getting a takeaway from Gilbies would be a nice change from our usual oriental options. They are in the top 10 on this site for takeaways in Hereford, so what could go wrong? We popped in to grab a...More

Good place for a long wait. Please train your bar staff. A small bar area plus a lot of customers needs staff who understand that people have a choice where they buy their drinks. A sedate and almost lethargic bar service is frustrating to the...More

Description
Tucked away from the hustle and bustle in a picturesque courtyard overlooked by St. Peter's church spire. Here is, quite simply, the only place to visit if it is a continental flavour that you are looking for. Where else in this little market town could you sit outside under the canopy of a huge grapevine and enjoy a pitcher of Europe's finest beer or lager? Here is an ideal spot to relax and contemplate life whilst sipping one of the worlds many varieties of wine.
