Good overall experience, food hot and fresh would visit again and can recommend the Sunday Lunch. Slightly cold if you sit by the door but the real fires make up for this.

Went for Sunday Lunch on 29/01/17, and had our favourite table reserved for our family of six, including my six year old grandson. Plenty of car parking in their own car park, or free roadside parking. Not a pretty area, except for the very attractive (inside and out) olde world pub, plenty of beams and log fires with excellent service... More

Visited my local last evening for a drink. Whilst we were there we thought we would try the lemon sharing pud. Wow. Really lemony. Well done to Jeff the chef

Popped in here for a Sunday lunch, and it was fine. Lovely little pub with a very good and varied menu. We all fancied a Sunday roast, and we all had lamb, which was very good, served with a nice variety of vegetables. We went early and all the tables were reserved, so I would suggest to book a table... More

A good traditional pub with an exstensive menu. With many daily choicesn A good range of real ales. Only problem book early for late evening meals.

A bit like school dinners! The food looked and tasted like it had been kept warm for hours. We also had to wait for quite a while to be served. Very noisy with lots of drunk young people! Not a place to eat and chat.Wouldn't eat here again.

Four of us went for a birthday celebration and the food was fantastic. My partner had lamb cutlets which were huge and really tasty I chose the Captains Deck which was a delicious mix of fish and meat. The other meals were a lamb shank and a steak both of which were cooked to perfection. Thoroughly recommended. Will be returning... More
