The restaurant has been here for years and has a fantastic reputation - so perhaps we were expecting too much.....don't get me wrong the meal was lovely but somehow it wasn't quite as fantastic as I was expecting. That said the "complimentary" tasters that were brought around were wonderful

Our meal was absolutely superb, the breads were mouth-watering and the starters lovely- we had both scallops and mackerel, the portion sizes were not huge but with two unexpected and delicious amuse bouche, it was ample. Our main courses were venison and turbot and they too were exquisitely presented and perfectly cooked. The restaurant itself we found slightly lacking in... More

My wife and I ate here on Saturday night. The food was completely fabulous, the service was brilliant and we loved the evening. The bill was more than I've ever paid for a meal but I have to say it was worth it.

Nice food and friendly informed service. Venison dish and mango sweet particularly good. Atmosphere in restaurant low key for a Saturday evening - would have expected more of a buzz. Good value for money and excellent wines.

A birthday lunch for 4 was excellent, the dining room is elegant and understated with some very good art. The staff are welcoming and quietly attentive, happy to discuss options without being prescriptive. The food is artisticly presented and is a delightful mixture of flavours and textures. Whilst it is not inexpensive it is fine dining and a two hour... More

I had pig's trotter with snails followed by the turbot, followed by the acorn delice. The presentation, flavour combinations and delicate, intricate balance of ingredients was simply stunning. One of the best meals I've enjoyed for quite some time, matched with red and white wines from across France. However, we were "told off" for being 15 minutes late to the... More

I came here for a business lunch having wanted to try this restaurant for some time. I was absolutely blown away. From the moment you walk in you know you are visiting somewhere special. The staff are super attentive without being over the top and the ambience is perfect. I had a drink by the relaxing bar area before going... More

Having looked forward to dining here and in view of its Michelin stars I have to say we were surprised and disappointed by the mediocrity. Dining room could have been any provincial hotel, totally lacking in atmosphere or intimacy. Staff were professionally attentive but strangely detached. Amuse bouche of a macaron with duck parfait was startling, the combination of sweet... More

You cannot fault the food in this place. The menu was so hard to choose from, everything looked excellent. However, there was a long wait in the lounge (half an hour), even though our table was ready and we had ordered food and wine - really I just wanted to go and sit at my table! It was quite awkward.... More

We visited on the 15th of April and still can't believe just how good this place is! From the moment you walk into the restaurant you are welcomed, put at ease and made to feel that you are important! Then the front of house team start to deliver the enthralling food offers. From the muse Bouche with such Devine flavours,... More
