We used to visit this restaurant quite regularly but on more recent visits we found the food and service awful! We tried the Greek food and the fish and chips. Gone downhill big time! Long wait for food and when it finally arrived (we were the only people there at the time) we could not eat it. Will never go... More

While visiting Rye last month we struggled to find somewhere to eat on our first night that wasn't full of loud, lairy drinkers. Wine bars and gastro pubs are plentiful in this picturesque place, but as a veggie finding something that I want to eat can be difficult and even if I like a menu chances are my husband doesn't.... Four of us sat inside the Fish & Chip shop for lunch. The food took for ever to arrive and when it did, the portion sizes were a complete joke. Very small pieces of fried fish, only a single piece of ultra-thin cod roe and hardly any chips at all on anyone's plate. In fact, what they served didn't even... More

The chippie at the front looked good and there was a big queue and reasonable prices. Inside was quite different... We both ordered fish and chips as we were really looking forward to this traditional dish - especially being so close to the sea! I asked for a large fish with chips and mushy peas. My wife asked if she... More

Ate in restaurant. The condiments such as mayo, ketchup were cheap and awful especially considering cost of fish and chips.

We had fish and chips here, the fish was lovely really well cooked. But the battered sausage was horrible and the savaloy came out cold. Nice, friendly waitresses but the wait was a bit long. Really annoyed with the price of the drinks, we paid £1.80 for a lemon squash, we had to sit and watch the lady pour a... More

We went to this restaurant for fish & chips. The place was particularly empty. To start we ordered our drinks & three of us had cappuccinos. When they arrived all of them were diffrent! One was a latte another looked like dishwater and the other one was ok. We all ordered large cod & chips. When our meals arrived we... More

Love Greece and have been going there on holiday for the last 30 years. My Greek Kitchen not only takes you back to your holiday experience but the food is the most authentic tasting and George the proprietor is an excellent host. I have nothing but praise for this restaurant and would highly recommend anyone visiting Rye to eat there.
