Another location recommended by our B&B owners and we visited for mid-morning tea and toasted tea cake. Very traditional Tea Room with old style crockery and cutlery but very clean and fresh. The only downside we found was that they did not have wifi and they only accepted cash - both of which were disappointing.

We stopped for morning coffee and cake, we were so impressed we came back for lunch. Toasted crumpets with melted cheese, tomato and lots of bacon, lovely. Great range of teas and the Chocolate cake was to die for. Staff very friendly and efficient. This is the way a tea shop should be.

Really nice tea rooms with friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous freshly made sandwiches, cakes, scones and cream teas with nice pot of tea.

Stopped for lunch and there was gluten free bread and cakes available. The staff were very knowledgeable, and particularly delicious gluten free chocolate cake! My grandson's tuna baguette looked delicious and, by the sounds of it, tasted it too!

Lovely - good, well priced food and drink and a great ambience (complete with cheeky owner!) Had just had a bad experience at one of its competitors and was really pleased to have been encouraged to try here instead. Thank you for the recommendation.

Came on a winters afternoon about 4pm, ordered cakes, of which they didn't have everything on the menu and tea. While we were having our tea and cakes, heard someone on the phone to presumably the owner, saying in an audible voice they had one in the front and only one in the last hour, (meaning customers) guess she wanted... A lovely tea room nestled away in the heart of Rye. The scone and cake were very very good, very large slice of carrot cake and lovely scone. The soup was also tasty along with the chilly. Well worth the visit. Only slight disappointment was they had run out of cheese scones as they boss hadn't delivered them. Hopefully have... More

Tucked away..really tucked away..if you blink you will miss it. Established in the 1820s you cant get any better. With cina service set in a small house with really friendly staff. Everything apears to be home made. The Chilli Con Carne is to die for. The home made soup delicious and the cream teas...oh the cream teas..this should be the... More

My wife and I have visited Rye a number of times, but have never been in the Cobbles Tea Room before. Yesterday we made up for this and after a busy morning, decided to call in between shopping and have a bite to eat and a cup of tea. The Plougman's lunch we both had was fresh, tasty and deliciuos,... More
