This is the best pub in Rye. It serves great beer and has very welcoming staff. All the beers are locally brewed. After an awful experience in the Mermaid this was wonderful! Don’t miss it!

The pub was warm (in temperature and in friendliness) and very cosy. There were lots of locals at the bar and visitors too. A nice fire going too. The menu offered "Rosti with kale and duck egg and it was quite delicious.

We made the Standard our 'go to' place during our stay in Rye. With local ales and a traditional relaxed atmosphere you can see why it gets so busy of an evening. On the Saturday night we were there the place was so busy that...More

We dropped out in without a reservation. Seated in the bar which was buzzing but not mad. We had a great meal. The scallops were a particular highlight but the lamb ran it a very close second. Would recommend highly.

Agree with previous review. Overnight stay in large, comfortable beamed room. Breakfast fine and we had a lovely stay. However, very noisy late at night and first thing in the morning with bins put out and collected. Not enough tea, coffee etc in room.

Hi We don't have a car park in fact very few of the hotels and B&B's have parking, however if you visit our website there is a parking section offering advice. Kind regards Tim

I think that they serve food from 6 o'clock in the evening: I suggest you get there a bit before 6 and have a drink first.
