Spent a lovely birthday evening with family here. All tastes catered for and enjoyed delicious food - Squid probably our favourite. Highlight for me was large selection of unusual drinks!

It was good. However. A dynamite roll was actually a California roll with a little topping of minced prawn scallop and egg apparently. The volcano roll was California roll with raw tuna on top and a very sweet sauce. And the raw tuna was the size of Half a 5 pence. Yes. Seriously. It is priced to reflect the content.... More

The attentive but unobtrusive service was impressive. The charming waitresses kept their eyes on the tables to ensure that at all times we had what we needed. The food was good in both quantity and quality, and the restaurant is not noisy. We felt welcomed and valued.

I was served by a charming German waitress and made to feel most welcome. £10 something lunch menu came very well presented on a black tray. I ordered chicken ramen which was so copious that I took a third of it home! It came accompanied with 2 crispy fried courgettes, picked mushrooms, wasbi and ginger, a souring dipping sauce for... I was just pasding that place and decided to drop by. Surprisingly great sushi! Fresh, nicely served. Portions are generous.I liked them even better than in pricy Roka in London. Very good green leef tea. Definitely recommend!

I know, if you choose to eat out on St Valentines, you've only got yourself to blame and you really shouldn't complain... However, on the flipside, restaurants should avoid trying to cash in on the opportunity lest it go wrong. Unfortunately, Sushi Garden went down this route this year- perhaps not as badly as other places, they kept their standard... More

We were a group of 10 having a meal on a working night so was not expecting the place to be busy, but it was. The 2 young waitress looked stressed but did not show when they were serving. They were very calm when we expressed our comment on the delay of one of the meals. The last meal arrived... More

Positives -Very tasty and nice warm sushi with octopus. My yuzu and pear tea was very nice too. - The toilets downstairs look as if they have been recently refurbished, so they are fresh and clean - I like the way the restaurant is decorated with bottles. The setting is simple but quite authentic. Negatives: -Biggest negative for me was... More

Has the best sushi and ramen I've had in Brighton so far. It's expensive but it has the quality to match. Often busy on weekends so best to book in advance if you want a table.
