I've known this restaurant since the early 80's - one of the original pizza places with a proper pizza oven originally on full view by the front door. It was always a cut-above and smart - overseen by a steely-eyed old Italian who ensured everything...More

Wondered around on New Years Day and came across this restaurant. We quite liked the menu as they had a wide variety of pizzas, pasta/knocci and starters. We had one of the nicest cheese garlic breads to start whilst deciding on our food. Prices were...More

My friend absolutely loves Al Duomo, so I agreed to take her there for a pre-Christmas meal. The atmosphere in the place is quite generic, a little dark and dingy, but the staff were attentive for the first half of the meal, and did what...More

We visited this Italian for our Anniversary and were squashed in next to another couple. We ordered an appetiser which was basically a deep fried rice and cheese ball with peas in it. It had no flavour at all. We then ordered pizzas for main....More

We visit this restaurant a few times a year and it is always friendly and the food is consistently good. There are very few family businesses like this still around and there is always a warm and friendly welcome here.

Went for our Christmas meal. Persons packed in like sardines. Had three hours parking as disabled on yellow lines. However, not enough time for the three courses and coffee. Very rude staff who kept saying they were doing their best. Kept saying the food was...More

Near the famous Pavilion in Brighton, Al Duomo is well, not quite as famous as the Pavillion itself, but it has attracted two million visitors over the past twenty-one years. A classic, family-run Neapolitan pizzeria spread over three floors, Al Duomo has an Italian menu to tempt even non-pizza lovers, if there are any. The pizzas are cooked in a wood fired oven, one of Britain's first. The many other favourite dishes include Lasagne Casalinga and salmone al dragoncello, cooked in butter, white wine and tarragon with tomato and cream. It's a great place for parties and groups, but absolutely everyone enjoys the delicious food, charming ambience and warm Italian welcome. Patio seating when the weather is balmy.
