Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped off here for a few drinks, all dressed up in our garish Halloween gear and was welcomed with big smiles and a free shot of liqueur. The service was excellent and friendly and the prices for wine and beer average. The Globe looks a...bit rough but we found the place to be a typically Brighton pub who welcomes people from all walks of life... Alive or dead! (Toilets were pretty poor sadly)More

So visited the globe first time over the weekend. Look nice from outside great location was quite quiet considering Easter weekend looks like popular with students as seen to be only customers apart from us. Drinks was cheap and staff friendly however decor looked quite...tired and the toilets look like something from a scene out of the film hostel. Some hand wash in the men's wouldn't go a miss.More

Good selection of quality beer in a nice atmosphere. Small beer 'garden' out the front for smokers and to watch the world go by.

Supposed to be an "OK" place However Saturday afternoon, 6.30 pm We came here with my wife to have a few nice drinks before dinner Just tasted Brighton Pale Ale in another pub and I've found it really nice. As The Globe also offering this...beer I thought to have one more Was quite surprised when the girl at the bar informed me that they run out of it!! Ok , strange to run out of it on a Saturday early evening, but sh.t happens Next drink I wanted to order was a Cuba Libre, great deal for 2.50! BUT, again a surprising response :"we run out of it...." Well, a simple advise Maybe you should prepare better for Saturday! The busiest evening after all?! Or the Globe just don't care.... Looking at the choice Brighton can offer, it wouldn't be the place I recommendMore

Went with a mate at the end of a pub crawl, bit of a last chance saloon feel to it, basically anyone who hadn't found a decent bar or club seemed to end up here! (Us included!) Good beer, nice staff behind the bar. Check...it out if your in town.More

Popped in during the rain. Limited lunch menu. I had no idea pizza could be simply awful. Ordered a margherita pizza with pepperoni. Received a mess on raw dough. It was pepperoni, tomato sauce and cheese, def NOT a margherita. It was so awful I...scraped the topping off and ate them. Left and went to a kebab shop as I was starving.More

Really happy we stumbled across The Globe for an afternoon tipple! Close to the seafront and The Lanes and good if you fancy a drink but are on a budget. Cuba Libres only £2.50!

After spending time walking around Brighton we fancied a drink. The Globe was a great find. As in the area of the Brighton Lanes the expectation would be for the pubs to be pretentious and possibly over priced. However the Globe was neither. Although the...pub was very busy service was polite and efficient. The range of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic was very good particularly the Cawstons fruit drinks. Although I never ate there the food looked good and again the prices were very good. We only popped in for a couple of quick drinks but will certainly visit here next time we are in BrightonMore

Went in around 5pm on a Thursday afternoon for a beer. Waited around 5 minutes for someone to appear. Knocked on the door of the kitchen, and somebody came out. "I need to change the barrel" she said and then disappeared again. We weren't there...when she came back...More

That maybe good or bad depending on your view. The bar staff friendly, good service... What is astonishing, is the macaroni cheese with bacon... Sublime!

Visited with (grown-up) family after Xmas, so place was fairly quiet. Visited again soon after. Nice, unrestored Brighton pub, laid back feel. We asked for the music playing from speakers next to us to be turned down, no problem. The food was surprisingly good. I'd...expected some overcooked meat and veg, but everything seemed freshly prepared, veggies particularly. The pork belly was amazing! Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful, bar staff slightly distant. Limited selection of real ales, 2 if I remember rightly, but good choices nonetheless. Good prices too.More
