I was introduced to this place by a friend years ago when I used to live in Hove and absolutely loved it! Okay, the food is microwaved but it is very quick and filling. I know that it's not the most authentic Mexican food but it is really tasty. I've only eaten the burrito's and the soft shell taco's but... More

The title says it all, you don't get the sauce they advertise, you don't get ANY sauce! You don't get any guacamole - must be to save money on their side? What you do get is, soggy rice and vegetables, no taste, plenty of salt, Soggy wet bread and service with a sneer if your brave enough to complain. And... More

Waited 2 hours for food, was cold when it arrived. No sauce on nachos or burrito. Did not taste like Mexican food. High price, poor quality and poor customer service. Very disappointed and will not use again.

This place has gone down hill. I used to go quite frequently, but the last three times my food has been very wet and sloppy. Guacamole serving seems to have got smaller and no longer tastes nice- just like supermarket rubbish...clearly padding it out these days. Real shame. Avoid this place.

Nice food and nice people. If you looking for something hot and spicy, get yourself some habanero sauce

Was excited to get to Brighton because we've heard they have the closest thing to good Mexican food. Not so with El Taco. Not even close. The tacos are flour tortillas instead of traditional corn. The cheese was layered on the bottom instead of top, and the worst part... The steak was just sitting in a bin on the counter... More

Really disappointed in this place after my recent order, after the first couple of times I have eaten from here, I accepted what I didn't like and ordered something else the next time to give them the benefit of the doubt but ended up hating almost everything except a potato which in itself was pretty unattractive when you opened the... Ignore the idiot giving one star who hasn't even eaten here. Posh it isn't. Delicious & good value it definitely is. Very authentic Mexican grub in the heart of Brighton. Friendly and helpful staff.

Forget fine dine and lavish settings, this very unassuming building right next to the traffic lights, is a flavour sensation. Very well priced and great quick service, it provides amazing portion sizes and packs lots of flavour into its food without over complicating or using style over content. I will be returning on a regular basis and would recommend anyone... More
