Absolutely delicious food with the highly pleasant atmosphere of a real village cafe. It won't cost you more than a shilling eitherThe friendly and welcoming staff are sure to tend to your sandwhich needs. Be on the lookout, for there are doggos-a-plenty in here and that's a stimulus you don't want to blink-and-miss.

Stopped here whilst walking round the Laines, and if we hadn't had such large breakfasts at the hotel would definitely have tried the cakes/biscuits etc - they looked absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious!

Dropped in for a light lunch with my wife. We were immediately taken by the relaxed atmosphere and pleasant decor. The greeting from the staff was warm and the menu choices reasonably extensive. We both ordered Bagels from the board along with a cappuccino and a hot chocolate. Both were very good, as were the drinks. But above all, this... More

Really good quality sandwiches, delicious salads and friendly and welcoming staff. Go there at least once a week for lunch or a take away. First choice out of the independent cafes in Kemp Town.

I have been visiting the Artisan Coffee Shop three times a week since the summer and always receive a consistent service. The food is always well presented and the staff are always friendly. This is my favorite independent coffee shop in Kemp Town.

I have been going to Artisan a couple of times a week for a few years, and it was my regular local coffee shop. Recently however it has begun to nosedive and is probably not worth a visit any more, which is a real shame. The new staff are disinterested and service is VERY slow and disorganised. You should be... More

Hi, I’m sorry you had such a bad experience visiting Artisan, especially after such a positive review in August. Firstly, I am sorry you found the service unsatisfactory, we have recently hired several new members of staff and have been training over the last couple of weeks. I am sure that they were simply nervous rather than disinterested and hopefully... More

Here they pride themselves on their coffee. They change their daily coffee depending on the season, different flavours for the season - incredible. When l was there they were just finishing off their early autumn flavour which was extremely nice, very delicate but still coffee. They have healthy freshly made food too at reasonable prices. Oh and they welcome dogs!... More

Came here after a recommendation and we were so glad we made the walk into Kemp Town. We had a toasted sandwich and a hot drink each and it came to the total bargain price of £10!! Outstanding value and I was able to use my NHS discount which was great. The food was fresh and generous and really tasty... More

Another non chain coffee shop, and one worth a visit. Nice staff and customers, and always pleasant to sit in the window and watch Kemptown life pass by.
