Stopped by for a drink at the bar and afternoon snack and came back next day for Sunday lunch and fell in love with this place. Quite small place – so best to book.

With many places to choose from in Brighton we thought we would give this place a try. We went here for that man's birthday lunch and we were not disappointed. We opted for the 3 courses for £20, with a £2 sup for the steak....More

Finally managed to visit this pace after several recommendations from foodie friends and was not disappointed in the slightest. Shared the meat platter, included duck, pork belly and ox cheek with a side of the fries with truffle. All delicious but the pork with kimchi...More

We went for an evening for two of us and the food service and atmosphere were excellent. The sharing meat platter was excellent. We were delighted with the friendly, efficient but not fussy service. We'll be back next time we're in Brighton.

...and that's all I got as a negative, really. The atmosphere in Plateau is just ace, its got such a good buzz, the mixed drinks are to kill for and the food is ace. It's the service which marks it out though - so helpful,...More

I used to visit my friend in Paris a couple of times a year for over a decade and eat at laid back places with incredible food, this is one of those places but in Brighton! I want to move in!

Great atmosphere, service was friendly and the lady really knew her stuff. Simple menu, and what's on it is creatively selected. Loved this place. Went for a sharing platter- awesome. Organic wine choice refreshing.

A groovy little restaurant and bar which is a fave in Brighton. Love the super range of natural wines they have, which are such honest, fun, exciting wines to enjoy. We had a lovely dinner here a few weeks back back sharing a viande/meat plateau...More

Description
Independent bar à vin, restaurant & cocktail bar based in The Lanes, Brighton. We are a unique bar à vin & restaurant with a passion for great food & wine. We have put a great deal of time & love into selecting our wines. At Plateau you can discover interesting & affordable wines that you are unlikely to see on other local wine lists. Our selection is mostly natural with some biodynamic & organic examples. We have sourced wines from local Sussex producers to renowned names & newcomers. To soak up the wine we serve ‘bites’, small dishes perfect to share or great as a starter. Follow your ‘bites’ with a ‘plateau’ to share or a 'plat' & that’s our dinner experience… although don’t forget dessert! Our chefs source organic, fresh, local produce as much as possible.Did we mention the cocktails?
