Iydea is just amazing every time. No matter what I choose, everything is absolutely delicious. Choose from a main, two sides and two toppings. It's always a tough choice! Great staff too and loads of vegan options!

My self and a friend from work, work around the corner. we regularly go in for a take away lunch. It's the best. I'm not a vegetarian but I really enjoy it. There's so much flavours. The staff are supper friendly too!

Utter rubbish! Our breakfast took nearly 45 minutes to arrive, and they weren't even full. I was told they'd run out of humous so couldn't have the "avocado on toast", so chose scrambled eggs with spinach, only to be told 15 minutes later that they'd...More

Iydea is absolutely the best vegetarian lunch venue in Brighton. I've eaten here a few times now, usually when I'm wondering about the lanes at the weekend. I rarely sit in as it's always packed (and it's cheaper to get your food to go), so...More

I stopped of at the Restaurant for drinks and cake during a recent visit to Brighton. The Restaurant had a good atmosphere and sells vegetarian food which looked good and appeared to be popular. The only downside from our visit was the length of the...More

This place is a kind of like a buffet, where you choose the main and then sides according to what size plate you have opted for. Great mains, they change frequently which is always good. Came here once for breakfast and that wasn't too good...More

Lovely friendly cafe with a great veggie cafe menu. We enjoyed the big breakfast - particularly the mushrooms, avocado and homemade baked beans. Certainly set us up for the day of wandering around Brighton!

Great food, nice friendly staff, BUT...music waaaay too loud. Impossible to have a conversation. I asked if the music could be turned down but my request fell on "deaf" ears.

Can't comment on the food as we never managed to eat there - but what utterly appalling service. It was so bad, I eventually had to ask the young man behind the counter if I was invisible (which I most decidedly am not.) We missed...More

Sorry - same answer, you need to ask the restaurant directly. Again I have never seen any 'reserved' tables when I was there.
I want to meet a future colleague for a couple of hours' chat about work, and a bite to eat, starting at about 11.00 am one morning. Lydea sounds lovely but probably too busy for that sort of meeting?

Hi, iydea is small and can get rather busy / quite noisy from midday. You are welcome to to try, may I recommend you get a seat at the back as they are quieter. Seb

Iydea is a small and very busy express vegetarian canteen right in the heart of Brighton's North Laine area. All the food is freshly made and is on display so you can choose only what you want to go on your plate or to take away. There is an extensive breakfast menu from 9:30 every morning which changes to the lunch menu at 11:30 (12:00 Sundays). Iydea does get very busy and cramped so best to avoid peak times if you want a little more space and comfort.
