The only problem with this place is that we live miles away from it! Popped in for lunch on a visit to Brighton and it is sooo yummy! Lovely staff and great atmosphere too. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Went in here on a busy bank holiday weekend and happily found a window seat and had lunch with my daughter (I didn't eat my daughter as a side dish- i mean we both had lunch. There was a simple system- choose a main, a...More

First of all, I've been coming to this place for years and it has become a tradition for us to go to lydea's for lunch every time we come to Brighton. It's a casual vegetarian place where you get your food from the counter, choose...More

Hi Smilgaki, We are very sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with us as you have been coming here for so long. Due to the nature of us being a canteen style restaurant for lunch, unfortunately the counter can suffer some spillages...More

There are so many vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Brighton to choose from but it's always best to go with a recommendation you can trust. Iydea was recommended by my son's friend as his favourite lunchtime place. The four of us all choose different main courses, the...More

I am addicted to this place! The food is ridiculously tasty and reasonably priced. Grab their arancini balls with coriander and garlic oil with a couple of gorge sides and toppings, with a drink for less than a tenner. The people in there are SO...More

The food at Iydea is consistently great. I’m not vegetarian but have always found the dishes delicious. It’s not anything fancy but perfect as a casual lunch spot. Staff are friendly and it’s easy to take away. I look forward to lunchtime when I know...More

We were recommended this place by my Veggie Daughter. I often think with Veggie places that you will miss something; but this is not the case here. I had chilli bean enchilada with sides of coleslaw and Coronation Chickpea with topping of salsa and sweet...More

Nice menu, friendly staff and cosy seating area. The eggs, avocado and beans on toast were very good. The lunch food also looked pretty good - so we plan to go back!

Sorry - same answer, you need to ask the restaurant directly. Again I have never seen any 'reserved' tables when I was there.

Hi, iydea is small and can get rather busy / quite noisy from midday. You are welcome to to try, may I recommend you get a seat at the back as they are quieter. Seb

iydea is a small and very busy express vegetarian / vegan canteen right in the heart of Brighton's North Laine area. All the food is freshly made and is on display so you can choose only what you want to go on your plate or to take away. There is an extensive breakfast menu from 9:30 every morning which changes to the lunch menu at 11:30 (12:00 Sundays). They also do a large selection of drinks including all freshly made smoothies, juices and local roasted coffee. iydea can get very busy at peak times so best to avoid these if you want a little more space and comfort.
