Very busy with tasty dishes that vary from day to day, the portions are generous so you won't be hungry after a meal there.

So I have a dirty secret. Since discovering this place, I now find spurious reasons to occasionally visit Brighton just so I can get lunch and take a stash of yummy offerings home. EVERYTHING I have tried has been delicious. Even the cakes are epic...More

Iydea is my go-to takeaway lunch in North laine. I think its great value for money. The dishes and toppings are flavourful and the food labelling is really helpful. It always looks rammed but this team is so efficient you get served with a smile...More

My wife and I ate an early evening meal or very late lunch here yesterday. The food was very tastie and left us feeling satisfied and virtuous. You order a main, accompany it with two sides, (hot veg or salads) and two toppings. We were...More

This is a small canteen style restaurant. There is really great choice of mains, sides and topping. They can be mixed and matched. I had to visit again the following day as I enjoyed the food so much. On the second occasion there were new...More

Always try and go here for lunch when out in the centre for the day. The food is so so tasty and you get a good portion size. Although there is limited seating, we've always managed to find a seat! Have also been lucky enough...More

I've eaten here, taken food aways from here, smelt it as I walked past a hundred times and it is always delicious and fresh food with friendly patient serving people. I could literally eat this food every day and not get bored of it.

Everything about this packed little restaurant is excellent. The food is amazing, great choice and very modestly priced. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A wonderful first impression of Brighton 😊

Though I'm not a vegetarian, I thoroughly enjoyed the wide range of choices available here. Service is canteen style and you grab a seat wherever you can. It was busy when we visited and you might struggle to find a seat, but they do a...More

Sorry - same answer, you need to ask the restaurant directly. Again I have never seen any 'reserved' tables when I was there.

Hi, iydea is small and can get rather busy / quite noisy from midday. You are welcome to to try, may I recommend you get a seat at the back as they are quieter. Seb

iydea is a small and very busy express vegetarian / vegan canteen right in the heart of Brighton's North Laine area. All the food is freshly made and is on display so you can choose only what you want to go on your plate or to take away. There is an extensive breakfast menu from 9:30 every morning which changes to the lunch menu at 11:30 (12:00 Sundays). They also do a large selection of drinks including all freshly made smoothies, juices and local roasted coffee. iydea can get very busy at peak times so best to avoid these if you want a little more space and comfort.
