We had a meal here and it was excellent, staff friendly and helpful despite being short staffed. Lovely atmosphere and my salmon was delicious. Well recommended. We didn’t stay here in the rooms though.

Lovely place to sit outside on a sunny day. The sharing platters are particularly good and they do have a children's menu too.

A glass of prosecco for £4.50 is pretty good going these days! Old and atmospheric pub. Friendly bar staff and clientele. Eclectic rustic tables and chairs. We would go again!

Lovely pub in the heart of the village of Alfriston. Old English type pub serving a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Very clean, neat and tidy, good service with friendly staff. Reasonable prices for this village. Food served.

Having visited the George a couple of times over the last two years we thought we would give it another try. Still quaint ‘olde world’ charm to the building....very traditional feel even on a very rainy Monday. Where is it going wrong? Firstly the guttering...More
