Popped in here on a cold winters day originally just rip or coffe and cake but after reading the extensive menu decided on crumpets with melted cheese which was an excellent choice as the cheese was plentiful think and well melted by far the best crumpets I have tasted since my childhood. My wife had a pot of tea which... More

We really enjoyed the welcome of Mary and Malcolm there in Alfriston for an afternoon tea. Scones, delicious cakes and sandwiches are home-made. What a lovely place with books everywhere, very friendly with the children.

Stopped for lunch on a cold foggy walk. Made welcome by pleasant couple. The soup was delicious, hot and homemade, served with light savoury scones. Very good value for money in this expensive village.

Visited for the first time and enjoyed the food. Good value, nicely presented lunch. Good coffee too. Cosy with very pleasant staff. And, above all, dog-friendly.

Took my partner for a cream tea. Luckily they provide doggy bags, as ample food and we didn't manage it in one sitting. Their scones are still the best I have ever had and I have tried a few!

Homemade Scones, jam, clotted cream all washed down with a perfect pot of Earl Grey on a cold winter weekend afternoon. All absolutely delicious and served by friendly staff. There was even small trivia cards on the table to have some fun with whilst soaking up this quaint little tea rooms atmosphere. Alfriston itself was also charming to walk around... More
