We booked online for a mid week early dinner (7pm). There were not that many people in at that time although from 7.30 it was about half full. We were promptly seated and served to an excellent standard. I had the chicken starter followed by...More

Called in on the off chance on a Sunday evening for supper. Stupendous soup for one and the egg and beetroot dish for the other... This was so full of subtle flavours. I would love to recreate this dish. We both had the fish with...More

The quality of the food, preparation and attention to detail rivals any Michelin restaurant. Beautifully Baked Camembert starter, locally sourced was a clear winner. As was the pork cheek with squid tempura, a fantastic twist on a surf and turf. I had duck cooked two...More

Food was very good quality, beautifully presented and tasted excellent. I had the seafood plate which was well balanced for flavour and cooked perfectly (I hate over-cooked fish and veggies). Service was a little slow but I like it that way. Gave me plenty of...More

Went on Saturday evening for dinner and very impressed. Lovely dining room with good atmosphere and excellent service and food. Recommend and would go again.

Visited as part of a party of 35 and we ate in the function room rather than the very nice restaurant so not such a decorative setting. The function room, however, was free of charge (a rarity these days) and was certainly very satisfactorily organised...More

We were staying at a different hotel nearby but wanted a change and didn't want to walk too far. What a find. Really tasty food, great service and not too expensive.

Absolutely awful experience, had booked a table for their pre-theatre menu for 6.30pm. Unfortunately arrived 7 minutes late and was told the deal was no longer available despite a largely empty dining area. How ridiculous, if you don't want to offer this deal don't go...More

As a special treat our daughters gave us a voucher for £100 for Arbor last November and we had been looking forward to it enormously. We booked and visited on the 29th of April. When we arrived we were greeted by a charming Romanian waiter...More

Is there usually any difficult booking a weekend reservation, for pre theatre dinner or Sunday lunch? Or the afternoon tea?

Hi, My wife and I will be visiting Bournemouth next week and had a couple of questions prior to considering booking a table with you. I am a Coeliac (requiring a gluten free diet) and was wondering if you would be able to confidently cater for me? Additionally, do you cook your chips in a separate fryer to one where you would be frying items with gluten containing ingredients? Many thanks David

Hi David, I know this is a little late but... we do have a separate fryer that we use for Coeliac diets but of course we do need to know in advance of this particular dietary requirement. Hope this helps! Olivia

Is it appropriate for my 3 and 6 year old? They don't need nuggets and chips and are frequent visitors to restaurants (they don't run around) but cannot be relied upon to be silent company! thx

I would suggest that a lunchtime visit might be a better option for children as there are likely to be diners trying to enjoy a romantic dinner in the evenings...

Description
2AA Rosette, award winning restaurant, serving imaginative local food sourced within a 50mile radius. Two seafood dishes change daily to give you the best of what's been caught that day.

From daily deliveries of organic farm assured produce and artisan specialities to some of the UK's finest fish and shellfish, fresh from the trawlers, at Arbor we're passionate about bringing you truly local flavour. In the hands of Andy and his team, these great ingredients are transformed into dishes that effortlessly blend the classic with the contemporary.

We run a Tasting Menu on first Thursday of every month and we also have our Farm to Frying pan speciality evenings. Check out the most up to date menus on our website as our menus change with the seasons
