Yes the castle was great, lots for little people to runaround in and pretend to be knights but I have to say that the highlight was the cream tea. I've had quite a few (living in the West Country for most of my life) but...More

Bright and friendly, excellent lunch and cream tea(after visit to castle). Good home cooked food with plenty of options for vegetarians. Thoroughly recommended.

Cream tea was lovely however the service wasn't. Three "tables" arrived at the same time and the staff couldn't cope. Our order wasn't written down so needed to check when it came to prepare them, no tea spoons with the tea and forgot to bring...More

Nice food, proper lunch with a good menu for the size of the place, good coffee, good cakes, friendly staff.Above average for a cafe which is an accessory to an attraction. Can be a bit slow when busy.

The cream tea for two came with one fruit and one plain scone which were both lovely but the homemade strawberry jam was fantastic, plenty of tea in the pot for 2 people. Kids shared a large yummy brownie.

Hi Kat b, we're pleased to hear you enjoyed your cream tea, our scones are cooked fresh daily, the homemade strawberry jam seems to be a favourite with most people, we're even thinking about selling it too. From all at The Castle Cafe..
