A last minute decision on a Thursday night. Got a table no trouble. The burgers are amazing, service was great, price reasonable, tourist advice from Chris the owner priceless! All the staff were attentive and friendly. We would certainly recommend.
It was our first time visiting The Shack, and we hope to return soon! The staff were so welcoming and checked on our table regularly, they were understanding when we asked to change tables due to our elderly grandmother not being able to hear to...well near the speaker. We had the Sunday carvery, and as a veggie I was pleasantly surprised; the chefs were very accommodating, they provided a delicious med-veg tartlet and gave me additional veggie gravy without having to be prompted. Super tasty carvery options to choose from too! Definitely recommend :)More
Visited here twice in August as a family of 6 after reading fantastic reviews of this place, we was not disappointed,. One of the very best places we have ever had the pleasure of eating at, not the cheapest but you do get what you...pay for, Fantastic service and unbelievable food, all the waiters and waitresses were first class and the owner was just brilliant, the chef's were also absolutely outstanding, would return in a heartbeat.More
Popped in after being turned away from a few restaurants (hadn’t made reservations), seated us quickly, really friendly staff. Food came out quickly after ordering and could not be faulted. Excellent presentation, quality and taste!
Would 100% visit again and will certainly recommend to anyone...visiting the area!More
We arrived at the door on spec with no booking, the staff did everything they could to take us in, they set up a table for us. Great staff very helpfull, It was sunday so set menu being a carvery. The food was delucious a...real Sunday roast just like mums. Highly recomend a visit for a very well priced very high quality meal. The name and shop front do not even come close to representing the high clas interior, quality of food and service.More
There were four in our party and from the welcome right through to the finish it couldn’t be faulted.
My sister in law has the shack dog, my husband has the Cajun chicken, me and my brother in law had the rump steak and it...was all beautifully presented and we all said how delicious it all was. The wine was lovely too, there was a lovely busy atmosphere in there and the service was exceptional. We all said we would go again, remember you must book in advance as it’s always busy.More

Hi Una, The restaurant is level with the pavement and although there are several levels inside there are plenty of tables on the first level. I'm sure you could reserve a table in that first space if you phoned in advance and asked. I'm not sure about the access to the WCs though - from memory they're down one step and up another around step towards the other side of the open-plan serving area. However, the owner and staff are lovely so I would be surprised if they could not accommodate you.
