Visited on Saturday and had a lovely meal out celebrating simultaneously Anniversary and Valentine's. My partner had never been to the Barbican Kitchen and I have only been once previously, and for lunch. So we were both very excited for our meals and to try the Tanner Brother's food. Which was impeccable, based on our choices. To start I had... More

This isn't the cheapest of restaurants but you get what you pay for. If you don't like the prices don't eat there simple! The place is made for special occasions or just for a really nice dining experience. Can't fault anything from the staff to the food. Fillet steak is the best I have ever had along with the service.

Couldn't really fault anything here and particularly loved the fact that there wasn't loud music blaring in our ears. This is obviously a very popular and busy restaurant. We ate at 7 and it was quiet but full by 8 p.m. Our food was really good, well presented, well cooked and served by extremely well trained and pleasant staff. The... More

I am a fan of Barbican kitchen and eat here a lot, my last bill for a family celebration was £275 for seven of us, so I do like the place. The food is generally excellent but my small niggle is that the fillet steaks rarely come out as ordered, we ordered a medium rare and a medium, they were... More

I tried to book a table online but it showed as full for the day of my visit. I called them on the off chance and they managed to find me a table. I was glad they did!!! The restaurant is located in beautiful surroundings in the old part of Plymouth. It occupies the upstairs of an old gin factory,... More

Started with drinks in the vaulted bar, which was an amazing room. (Drinks & staff good too.) Then ate in the restaurant. Good choice of food and wine. Lovely fish dishes. Only complaint is that the 2 hour time slot made us feel a bit rushed. We would have spent more if we had had longer!
