Been here lots of times with various people, partner, family, friends. The wine list is extensive and very good and the staff know a lot about it. The food is lovely, we have the tapas at lunch time, 3 for £12 and it's always nice and good portions. We are Gluten free and they have loads of choice and are... More

11 of us visited The Chancel to celebrate an achievement at work. The Chancel was very accommodating to the large group that had both vegetarians and gluten free dietary requirements. We will definitely be back for both business and leisure!

Used a Groupon voucher to have surf or turf. Both had lovely sirloin steaks done to our requests. For starters had a meat platter and fish selection platter omg both got shared, absolutely amazing. Only request was the dipping oil and balsamic was in a ramekin which was way to deep and to much oil. Be in smaller dipping trays.... More

We visited tonight to use a Groupon Surf 'n Turf voucher we had bought before Christmas. Had walked past before but been put off by the smokers at the tables outside. Warm welcome and choice of tables: we ate at one up the few steps towards the back which was a somewhat chilly area on this January evening. Staff were... More

A great little restaurant for an impromptu lunch or intimate dinner. Authentic dishes and great wines. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and very stylish decor in the new dining area.

My wife and I ate at this restaurant in Late December, as it was about the only restaurant that was able to satisfy my wife's very sensitive Shellfish allergy. Nothing was too Much trouble for them , my wife was overjoyed as we had tried a large nuber of Restaurants in the Barbican, who could not guarantee meeting my wife's... More

Went for pre-theatre dinner, mainly because we'd left it too late to get a table at our first or second choice(!) but this place was rated very highly on Trip Advisor... Impressed on arrival by the buzz of the place, as it was very busy. Excellent wine also added to positive initial impressions. The problems were with the food: Cold,... More

Small wine bar with some lovely food on offer, we all enjoyed the different food we picked such as the pasta dishes and meat dishes. Wine was of good quality and complimented the meals.

Visited here over Christmas to use up some vouchers we had been given. Received a warm welcome from the staff and the place was decorated tastefully. The food looked and tasted lovely. The steak was a bit tough (due to cut of meat) but cooked to perfection. Will definitely be revisiting for a more formal evening so we can enjoy... More
