Had orders from friends not to return home without a supply of pasties, always used to buy one of these on my way back to the dockyard, I went into the shop the day before we came home, ordered the various pasties, asked for them to be cold on collection, it went without an itch, pasties safely delivered, friends happy,... Usually grab one of these pasties at least once a week for a lunch on the go - the medium pasty is usually big enough for me - excellent proportions of meat and traditional veg inside with a nice crispy pastry. The y do takeaway salads as well if you must !

I'm not Cornish but I've been eating Ivor's pasties since I was a boy. I love them. Especially the peppery one. They have wonderful crispy pastry.

I went into ivor Dewneys for a pasty. I had a medium one and thought the price was a little expensive. However the taste of the pasty changed my mind. I would recommend this shop, one of the oldest pssty shops in town to anyone. Staff were friendly the place was clean.

The taste of Plymouth is the Pasty. A filling of meat and potato makes the pasty both tasty and filling. Three sizes, standard, Large and Giant. The giant is huge and great value at £3.00

The name Dewdneys is synonymous with pasties in Plymouth as their offering is a long established, tasty, takeaway meal.Their success owes more to great seasoning than meat content.

Came to Plymouth recently, taking a trip down memory lane and visiting old childhood haunts and that included a pasty frm Dewdneys. I have to say we were disappointed, the meat was in very small pieces and the pasty quite flat, not as we remembered them, although they were very reasonably priced.

Ivor dewdney pasties to me are the best pasties I've ever eaten, forget your Cornish pasties. I don't live in Plymouth so can only have them from the shop when I visit. But I do get them sent by post.be prepared to queue but they're worth it. Never had to queue in Cornwall for a pasty.

Best pastie I’ve ever had, I had one of the cheese and onion ones and one of the vegetable ones, my favourite was the vegetable one. The pastry was thin and really tasty and there was lots of well seasoned filling inside. My partner had the meat one which he thought was excellent, we would definitely get a pastie from... More
