We went here last Saturday. The food and service is really good. The staff are really friendly. A bonus you can take your dog and they can have a meal. Would definitely recommend. They do get busy so its advisable to book.

On our arrival a member of staff informed us they had no record of the booking made two weeks before. They were neither accommodation apologetic or helpful.

Excellent food, service, the warmest of welcomes and even an 'à la bark' menu for our four-leggetarian! We were in Plymouth for the day and, fortunately, we pre-booked our lunches, as Donna advised. This meant we each had our choice of meat. The food was...More

So pleased I did some research to find alternative Sunday lunch to one my fiancé had selected! This pub was welcoming, nicely decorated, cheery staff, clean loos (!), nibbles on the bar (including strong pickled onions :-)) and the Sunday lunch was just delicious! Lots...More

Thank you so much for your fab review. We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the meal, a bit concerned about the lack of risk assessment for ladders coming onto the premises! It is always lovely to read such supportive reviews. We look...More

Hi, I am so sorry to respond so late. We do recommend booking, especially on a Sunday. However we can often squeeze in walk-ins.

Description
Pleasantly situated overlooking the Barbican, the Fishermans Arms is a country pub located in the middle of Britain's Ocean City. Real ales, a warm and friendly atmosphere and excellent food. The food is good quality and great value. Reputedly the second oldest pub in Plymouth (grade 2 listed), we are steeped in history and have one of the last surviving remnants of the original Plymouth Castle.
