Latish on a March Monday we found this place, there was us and one other bloke. The bar staff very welcoming and happy to take our order for food. Hand made chips, oven baked crispy cod and mushy peas. It was very quite and early in the season and the food was nothing to write home about but also not... More

On a Friday evening food was not available, we were told this was because of a private party. The rugby was on the T.V so we ordered drinks and asked for the sound to be turned on the T.V. Again 'no' because of a private party, (no sign of party!) We left at 9pm, at this point there were half... More

We stopped in as it was the only pub open when we arrived. They had stiopped serving food but the lady behind the bar very kindly made us both a meal as we had travelled from the midlands without eating. A little old fashioned but the few locals that were in were very friendly and they had a variety of... More

Not a nice place to go for a drink. Walking past we saw what looked like a nice pub from the outside, steamed up windows giving the impression of atmosphere inside. On entering, we were met with a strong chip shop/Chinese takeaway smell, overly bright 'cafe' that had a bar appended to it. Very confusing. There was no atmosphere, apart... More

We had the unfortunate fate of ordering the Chinese set menu and it was to include curried chicken. The waitress later apologised and said that they did not have chicken but they had lamb. What turned up was not curried at all but lamb with tomato based stew on top of rice with fatty dim sims and fat oozing chips.... More

A nice pub with a friendly atmosphere but the food was only ok nothing special. The fish and chips was ok but I think the fish was out of a box not a nice fresh bubbly battered one.

On the plus side the staff were friendly. On the minus side the patio is small and had a lot of smokers. The bar is tired and characterless and the food was frozen deep fried and vile. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
