Seafood was excellent. Five courses between us and none could be faulted. The service however was virtually non existent. I had to leave the table three times to find a waitress. On two of these I found staff in a huddle passing the time of day with each other. A drinks order was incorrect twice.

Popped in here for dinner last tues , we were the only customers but it was quite early . The barman was very welcoming and polite and nothing was too much trouble . The meals arrived quite quickly and were piping hot and delicious. Would recommend as it was very nice with fantastic views of the harbour.

We just popped in on the off chance as it was 3pm. They were still serving ( until 9pm ) and we could choose from the full menu. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. The service was just right with no fuss. We will definitely go again.

The perfect pub! Great location, good service, fabulous food and a good range of ales!! The Rev. James is a nice pint and a refreshing change from the predictable Cornish ales found in so many Devon pubs. How about stocking Teignworthy Reel Ale??? The scampi and chips were very tasty. Perfect chips. The gurnard fillets in a bacon, pepper and... More

I went to the Anchor on Saturday with my wife and my sister. We didn't book and they were very busy. They said we would have to wait for half an hour for a table. We had a drink and were shown to a table upstairs and our order was taken within half an hour as promised. Lovely nautical decor... More

Such an authentic, beautiful Devon pub. I Love It! We had the mussels as a main which was amazing but the whole menu look amazing! We went on a Saturday which was understandably busy so I'd book if you're wanting to eat. Very reasonably price for both drinks and food and great portion size. And the setting outside, overlooking the... More

My wife and I met up with our son at this quaint establishment. We each had a fish dish and a drink. The dishes were all well cooked and very tasty, between us we had a fish pie, sea bass and mackerel. All were excellent. The bill came to just over £60 and was well worth it. If I visit... More

We had a lovely evening out here just before Easter with family. The welcome was warm - even though the restaurant was fairly busy. The food was well cooked and plentiful. The steak was very good.
