Certainly the best chain restaurant around , always excellent food and service , never had a bad meal , nice setting and value for money . Don't like the automatically added service charge !

Meeting a friend and just wanted to sit outside on a warm day, somewhere nice, chat and enjoy a glass of wine. Beautiful venue and exceptional staff, friendly and accommodating. Didn't eat here but looking at the menu probably could cobble together something vegan and for anyone else it looks amazing. Certainly would consider it they have hospitality down to... More

Have been to Cote many times but this was my worse experience ever. My calamari starter was excellent. For my main I had the minute steak which the menu says served pink (if only it was) I asked for the rare side of pink if possible. It came well done. I returned it but again it came out in a... As everyone's going to talk about how lovely the food is (which is true), it's worth mentioning upfront that this is one of the few city centre restaurants in Exeter where you can sit in an upstairs room, and have a lovely view - right opposite the Cathedral. Get a window table in the summer when the window's open with... More

Excellent food and good service . The food is good and all dishes are worth trying over a few visits , Great view of the Cathedral . Exeter itself is worth visiting , still parts of the Roman wall can be seen .

Lovely location, great food and terrific service. We had the eggs royale, croque madame & the veggie platter with bacon. Food was fantastic and served piping hot. The cappuccinos were great too. Will definitely be returning when in Exeter.

Normally love the food at Cote. I don't know if their is a change of chef here but I thought the prawns in white wine garlic and tomato sauce was stewed and over cooked today. They did recook the prawns when I complained and they were better the second time but the sauce was very stewed in flavour and tasted... More

We love this restaurant. Great food, great atmosphere, great service and not a bad price either! We think it's the best place for lunch in Exeter and is also a great night out too! Lovely setting by the Cathedral. Highly recommend it!

Thank Matthew F

Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great prices. On the menu, guests will always find brasserie favourites on our a la carte menu such as steak frites, moules marinieres, corn-fed chicken from rural Brittany and tuna Nicoise, for dessert, Cote's creme caramel and creme brulee are much-loved house specialities.
Seasonality and Cote's commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients results in a monthly changing specials menu, ensuring there is always something new to delight regular guests and gastronomes alike, as well as the excellent value set menu. Open early every day for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner; Cote's atmosphere is informal and friendly.
