Stopped off for lunch. Good menu, fresh food, warm welcome, Reasonably priced. Will be returning. After spending the morning in the city was pleasantly surprised to have found this little gem in Cowick Street, St Thomas,. Exeter. Seemed popular with the locals - always a good sign!

I live just around the corner from this nice little cafe, and regular pop in for a good coffee or tea. However today I dropped in to have the cooked breakfast and boy was it a treat. Everything from the eggs to the bread used for the toast to the exceptionally tasty sausages was cooked to perfection, all served up... More

Great, low key cafe with relaxed atmosphere. Easy to chill here over a cappuccino with the newspaper

Once a week I am tempted from my work locally to pop in. Nice independent vibe with local feel but equally suitable & welcoming to business folk. Free Wi-Fi. Ask for tea in a pot. Love it.

What a gem of a café! We were looking for somewhere locally to have a late lunch and were thrilled, when reading the menu in the window, that there were lots of gluten free options available. My husband chose the large full breakfast which included locally sourced gluten free sausages, bacon, mushrooms, baked beans, tomatoes, hash brown, eggs and a... More

Stopped in Exeter on the way to Newquay and went to Café at 36 for cooked breakfast. My wife had chosen the café based on the Trip Advisor reviews and the menu posted on the Café at 36 website. It didn't disappoint. The four of us enjoyed our lovely meals, debating on the best component. It was hard to choose... More

Just nipped in for a cuppa before they closed. Very nice atmosphere and great value cup of tea (got 3.5 cups out of the pot!). Toys for the baby and nice clean dining area. I had a croissant too and it tasted fresh even late in the afternoon!

My partner and I found this gorgeous little café on Cowick Street. We treated ourselves to some of the best poured coffee by a lovely lady named Sarah. The aromatics, taste and texture was soooo good. Our full English breakfasts (served all day) were a great spread of local sourced produce and there was so much of it we could've... More

Small independent coffee shop that prides itself on the quality of its coffee, roasted by Origin based in Cornwall; we also offer a range of tea which is hand blended in Devon. Our smoothies are refreshing and we offer Luscombes and Frobishers soft drinks. We made our own cakes and traybakes, and our award winning summer fruit flapjack. We use local food producers wherever possible, so for example our bread is from Shaldon Bakery, our milk is organic from Ashclyst Farm Dairy and our sausages, bacon and ham from Courtneys Butchers in Cowick Street. We offer a friendly welcome, free wifi and local art to enjoy! On the last Wednesday of the month Love Local Food run a story telling and creativity session for Under 8's and their families. We have live Music during the cooler months on the first Sunday of the month.
