Great coffee, amazing hog's pudding (and black pudding was one of the best we've ever tried!). Staff were very welcoming and polite. Order was taken promptly and food came very quickly. Will visit again for sure!

Good food but on the pricey side, sat outside but cobbles aren’t ideal for tables and chairs. I prefer to be looked after by one or two waiters/ waitresses, I counted five different ones from start to finish, which makes it an impersonal experience and...more fast food like. Deserts are pricey so we avoided them. Very busy location, constant stream of people, nice view of the cathedral and no patio heaters on a chilly day.More

On route to South Dorset, we decided to stop in Exeter for something to eat. We were very lucky to stumble on this place by the Cathedral. It was an interesting menu with many variations on eggs. The outlook from the tables was right by...the cathedral and the waiting service was very good and friendly.More

Dear Frank S, I am deeply saddened and disappointed with your review as we believe this to be very unfair and quite frankly shocking. You are quite right, we did close early on this particular day and many other days too recently, we even closed...More

We had to wait a few minutes to be seated on arrival, and service was not super quick due to the safety protocols in place - but I'd much prefer a little wait knowing things are done properly so well done to the team for...their diligence with cleaning down etc. The staff were friendly and helpful, checking our food was OK and clearing dishes quickly on finishing. The breakfast was very tasty and well cooked. Will definitley visit again.More

Myself and my wife visited Eat on the Green today on our way down to Cornwall as they offered a large GF menu. My wife is Coeliac and a veggie and the menu was great. The manager Ryan was brilliant, he created a really welcoming...environment and great energy within the team. The food was fantastic and we have decided that we will visit on all trips down to Cornwall. Thanks for a great lunch :)More

Really feel for this place. It does come very highly recommended by locals, and no-one has ever said anything detrimental, but it's clearly affected by the constraints imposed on it (which the staff deal with really well) by Covid-19. Due to weather we were not...able to sit outside, which looked great, but instead had to be upstairs inside in a rather characterless room with the now de rigour bare tables and plastic screens. The staff did everything they could, and the food was (I would say) fine but not special. If you're upstairs in that room you lose the benefit of the location (surely a key selling point) and it will feel rather enclosed. I'm sure at better times the place comes alive, and try at this moment while the virus is still with us to sit in the outside area which looks so much better and I'm sure you'll have a better experience than me.More
