We were welcomed warmly and very personal attention from the staff. The food was presented well and very tasty. The only problem we had was that one of our party is on a gluten free diet. Although it was mentioned at booking, there were limited options available. The food they prepared specially was apparently very tasty. My advice is to... More

Place looks very dated from exterior, inside doesn't look much better, staff very friendly, unfortunately food wasn't very tasty! Maybe Saturday evenings are too busy and quality comprised! Nothing bad to say but far from best Italian in exeter

Booked for 4 persons on Weds night to celebrate my son's birthday. On same day changed booking to 6 persons with no problems. The venue is small and homely, easy to access and for parking nearby. Perfect hosts, attentive, efficient and engaging. All of the food and drink that we had was delicious, we all agreed! Only sadness was that... More

Ten of us for friends' s birthday, it's one of her favourite places . Very noisy as small and busy but Mine Host ( Italian) brilliant at combining hard work and jokey but excellent service . Plenty of choice , food tasty and hot , all puds homemade, gelato yummy . Decent wines and worth the money .

Considering the restaurant is just off the main road the restaurant is quiet and feels quite romantic. We get good food and friendly service each time we visit.
