We got a takeaway fish and chips from here during our stay in st ives. The cod was delicious and tasted very fresh, nice thick bit of fish. Chips were good and they were quite quick although there was a small queue.

Ate lunch here last week - cod was nicely cooked with crispy batter but the chips were limp - great shame.

We ate here by recommendation, and we were not disappointed. These are seriously the best fish n chips we've ever had. There is a takeaway counter but we chose to eat in, they don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own if you like....More
We always go back to the Balancing Eel when in St Ives. The food is well cooked and tasty - as well as being in huge portions. Staff are extremely friendly and the whole place is clean and welcoming.
