Went to St Ives and found NO MADELEINES. Just the shell of a shop. No signs. No furniture. No evidence that they have ever existed. Is this the end of Madeleine's?

We went there while on our summer holiday. We had smoked salmon sandwiches. Food was tasty. Would go back. Nice little place you could seat upstairs or down. Was very busy when we went there. Yes there was a small clean toilet upstairs. Carry on the good service

We called in for a pot of tea and a homemade cake - I had a coconut madeleine which I haven't had for years - brought back childhood memories . The owner was ok with us but I can imagine her style wouldn't suit everyones tastes

On a recent holiday to Cornwall two things I was hoping to find while there were gluten free scones for a cream tea and gluten free pasties. This place was well worth the 400 mile trip! So tasty and delicious. As others who have to follow a gf diet will know it's tricky try to find these types of treats.... More

I dropped in twice to order a gluten free Cornish when passing. This is unheard of for coeliac a so I was very excited! I only had to wait a few minutes before I had a hot Cornish ready to take away. Very tasty and easy to eat. An option of fillings including vegetarian. A great service 😍

Just minor quibbles such as cheap fruitless jam with the cream tea, a toasty where the cheese had not melted, portions of coleslaw that you can count the cabbage shreds on one hand, why bother, and a very lengthy delay for the microwaved scrambled eggs.

Visited for afternoon tea and was pleasantly surprised by the soft pillowy scones. Delicious with the clotted cream and jam. Disappointed we did not have time to re-visit again. A great find in St Ives.

Service was particularly poor and we were ignored for at least five minutes before we caught a waitress going by. Tables were not cleaned from previous guests. Scones were flat and unappetising. Would not repeat.

We had a quick lunch here on a very sunny summer day and felt inclined to comment on how much of a lovely find it was. My wife had a scone with lots of cream and jam available, whilst I had a sandwich. Both were very nice. Also worth noting that the staff were very accommodating, even though they were... More

Visited on 14th July for lunch after spotting crab sandwiches on the menu. Sadly the sandwiches were smothered in margarine and left an overwhelmingly bad after taste. Makes little sense to charge £8.95 for a quality filling and ruin it by using cheap spread. My other half chose a ham and tomato sandwich and had the same margarine issue with... More
