We dined there as a party of eight. We tried the Monday night special - all meals £4.99. Several dishes chosen and not one complaint. Fine ding it isn't but very honest value for money. Have no hesitation in recommending.

This used to be a Weatherspoons, and the food was never amazing, but it was cheap and edible. Unfortunately since it has been taken over the food is now just cheap. If the staff had been friendly and welcoming I wouldn't leave negative comments, but I can't even add that as a positive! My husband ordered a cheese sandwich and... More

This bad review has nothing to do with the food or location, but due to the rude bar man (nick) who wouldn't serve me then threatened to kick me out. After i simply asked for a beer then showed him my ID, don't see the problem. So rude! I eat out a lot and also a head chef and I've... More

I came to this charming little free house for some dinner after a day volunteering at the Blue reef, it is very open and has a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered a steak with curly fries and breaded prawns with a glass of coke it came to around £11 that is way cheaper than a meal like that in Devon. my... More

Popped in for lunch thinking it was still a Wetherspoon pub, but it's changed hands, menu near enough the same, but food no where near as nice, hubby had mixed grill paid extra to make it a mega meal, it came out smaller than the Wetherspoon one, chicken and rib combo, tough chewy rib and chicken smelt like microwaved meat....yuk!!!!!... I don't like to leave bad comments so I'll just say that the staff was polite and the beer was good, the food wasn't as nice though...

Changed hands and no longer a Spoons, now a Stonegate pub, so different menu and pricing. I am not a big fan of the Kings Feast menu (quantity over quality) so we did not eat here, just had drinks. It's the same inside as it was before, a bit of refurb, new chairs etc, but ultimately it still looks the... More

This place has changed hands so we visited hoping it had improved - not one bit - the only thing they have changed are new chairs replacing the filthy ones. The lower area is more like a canteen its dreadful - no atmosphere - tables not cleared or cleaned when customers leave - its really poor. Shame as its in... More

This is a decent pub for a few nice, cheap drinks. Sitting outside in the summer is lovely and on the whole we visit every time we're here. Will continue to visit in the future.

We visited the Cribbar last night as a table of 14, we booked the table the previous day. We all ordered separately and as we thought the food arrived at different times, this is not the issue. The issue is that my son order hunters chicken (Double up) the chicken was rick solid, when I spoke to Steph (senior member... More

More than 100 summer jobs have been created in Newquay with the opening of a new £2m pub.
The Cribbar will employ 130 in the peak holiday season and about half that at other times, said operator JD Wetherspoon.
It takes its name from the Cribbar reef, which stretches out under the sea from Towan Head.
Newquay Safe, a partnership of local authorities and police, welcomed the new pub.
