We ate here and have to say we thought the food was really nice! Had chicken supreme and was well presented and cooked perfectly. Everything reasonably priced and service was always with a smile. It suited us perfectly with it being dog friendly too. Really can't fault it!

This is our second visit to Newquay and 3rd visit to the kings head inn and once again it didn't disappoint. We went for the mid-week carvery and were as delighted as before - if you are looking for some good homemade cooking go here.

My wife and I are new to the the area, we have been in a few times over the last month or so and get a very Luke warm reception from female staff, it seems to be a popular pub with lots of locals... If new comers are not welcome surely it should be a members only club.

I work nearby so this is my regular lunchtime pub. Friendly staff, good beer and a real fire. I've yet to try the food but will update the review when I do.

Happy hour 'finished' at 7pm, so I ordered 4 drinks at 6.45. My drinks were served, then put through the till no more than 5 minutes later (6:50). At which point I'm told happy hour has finished?? According to my phone it was now 6:52, however because the tills were set 10 minutes too fast I was no longer entitled... More

Very disappointed!!! Only been here a few times but every time there has been a problem! Ordered a carvery and the line was so long that by the time they got there half of the stuff including roast potatoes, vegetables and the beef had completed gone!! Then had to wait to be refunded! Went back a second time as we... More

Absolutely brilliant, well worth the money. Food was well cooked, the veg was not raw as in some pubs, there was a good choice of veg AND if you had the carvery you could buy puddings for less than the standard price
