I've had a Sunday roast here a few times in the last year & always been nice but I think new owners & new chef just recently. We had a roast today & it was the best roast dinner I've had in years! Beautifully cooked belly pork, prefect portion & the chocolate fondant dessert was incredible. Waiting staff were lovely... More

Amazing Sunday dinner very friendly and helpful staff and a great atmosphere highly recommended. I had the beef and my girlfriend had the vegan option and we were both very impressed

My friend and I had a table booked for 1:15, we arrived and they had us booked in for 2:15, despite our confirmation email stating 1:15. We had to wait 15 mins for a table, ordered our food and after a 40 min wait, the food arrived cold. We weren't asked how the meal was, as our bill was put... More

Not eaten in here for nearly 20 years. From memory it used to be a great seafood restaurant but in recent years when I passed by it did not look very inviting and I was unsure if it was even still trading. This weekend I was passing and there was a board outside advertising Sunday roasts. Judging by the poster... More

This restaurant, although dated in décor, gives a warm welcome, polite staff. The menu could do with more but what they serve is good, although the price is a little high, the portions are great, we ordered a burger each with onion rings, sauce and chips and they even gave us a doggy bag to take home as we only... Food was ok although my choice of mains was not available. Staff seem pleasant enough but could have been a bit more attentive. Only takes cash here though!!!

Went here after a friend recommended it. By far the best food we had in Newquay. The Mussels in a tomato and Chorizo sauce converted my girlfriend from a sea food hater into a seafood lover!

Fantastically fresh food and plenty of it. Try the mussels. or any of the fish dishes. The steaks are also fantastic

Very good experience this summer in the Dolphin, food was really good and masses of it. We managed a starter and main meal but couldn't squeeze in a sweet. Nice Draught Beers as well, we had the 'Blowhole'. Would recommend the 'Mussels Fume' as starter and 'Rack of Ribs' for main meal. Service was fine and friendly. No rush, and... More

We asked if dogs were welcome and were told that they were in the bar area. And also that we could eat in the bar area so in we went. We were shown the option of the only two dining tables in the bar area - one very dark and the other even darker. It was like eating in a... More
