The Griffin was part of the Atlantic Ale Trail (Par to Newquay) so I was slightly disappointed by the Real Ale on offer. The food was good but a little expensive in my view. Staff were very friendly.

Called in on a Saturday evening and were able to be seated straight away. We were a party of three. Two of us chose the 'sirloin steak deal'..............two sirloin steaks with chips, tomato, mushrooms and peas......and a bottle of very acceptable house wine for £30. With this sort of deal you can't go wrong if the meat is good quality... More

Staying in Newquay for a couple of weeks, visited restaurant a few times. Fish and chips highly recommended, minted mushy peas very nice. Also had the carvery. The flavour of the food is a credit to the chefs who work here.

Having a couple of hours to spare , arriving early in Newquay for Christmas, we needed some lunch to tide us over until the evening meal at the hotel we were booked into for the Christmas break. Their menu was well populated with plenty of choice at realistic prices and the barman was very helpful in suggesting that we may... More

We visited The Griffin Inn two nights running during our stay in Newquay. The food was absolutely amazing, all freshly cooked and homemade. We were served by a young man called Callum who is a credit to the place.
