Not our cup of tea at all. Very slow service. Felt a little dirty and unkempt. Only good point is they allow dogs inside.

We ate here 3 times at lunch time on the 2 for £10 menu and the food was excellent with large portions. Plenty of vegetarian options. Dogs welcome and it is literally on the beach. Seating was a bit tired but carpets and tables clean.

A very busy pub on a Friday night. When we got there just 1 table left. All the others were reserved for the quiz night I think. The service was good as it looked as if there was just one serving behind the bar and it was packed. The food was really good and you could tell it was home... More

Friendly little pub by the sea, nice family room to the rear. Main bar might be too rough for some. Food is good and plentiful. Bar staff helpful and attentive.

We visit the mermaid every year when we go to visit my brother. The location is ideal, foods a little more expensive but always served quickly and tastes delicious. The rattler cider on draft is worth a try . My children love that they can play on the beach and play in the sea.

Went the The Mermaid on Sunday with family that live in Newquay. Carver was really good quality with plenty of choice, all well cooked. Some of the family had other meals and they were also good, large portions! Children were well catered for as well. Would recommend to everyone.
